June EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. ➤ The meme is for fiction-based RP only (with the only exception being involvement of fictionalized historical figures or historical settings.) [wanted]: My kingdom for a Yuki as always (though I'd also adore a Banri especially because Momo's monster form in Karteria is. a bug...), but I'd love to see anyone! Particular love for members of Sports Club, or also members of ZOOL having to put up with Momo's shenanigans for more than 5 minutes at a time.
[game info]: Karteria is a dark fantasy monster transformation game set in a magitech 1920s-1930s inspired near-apocalypse setting, where characters are brought into a world dying from the effects of Katalyth, a mineral which emits arcane radiation and is ultimately fatal to normal humans exposed to it. Characters are fitted with an Augmenter, containing a "Natural Soul" - this allows them to survive in the setting and makes them resistant to arcane radiation and Katalyth exposure, but at the cost of slowly Corrupting them, giving them features of whatever creature their Natural Soul is.
Apps are every two months - the next TDM is due in early July, with apps in late July. AC is 5 comments from a single thread, but there is an AC reward system with some really fun options available (we just had the 800 point/comment reward revealed, extra Natural Soul options) to encourage engagement! There's also a reputation system which allows character actions to have a tangible effect on opinions towards Augmented in the setting, and character actions affect the speed of the plot unfolding - due to people throwing in particularly enthusiastically on reaching the second city in the setting, we're on track for it to debut next month!

[game info]: Pixie Led is a dark fantasy RP inspired by the traditional interpretations of the Fae. It is an invite-only mission game with an emphasis on the more unsettling side of folklore. Characters are spirited away by faeries and whisked away to their realm where they get adopted by one of the Fairy Courts, bestowing them with new abilities, a new mission, and a new home.

[wanted]: I would love to see literally anyone else from BSG turn up, but have always felt a little bad about asking, because Gaeta is post-canon and will probably spark negative CR with 95% of the characters. He's been in PH for about a year, so he's established a handful of close relationships + told his very skewed side of the mutiny to a lot of folks -- but if that sounds like a juicy CR setup, I am opening my arms to any and everybody! We also have a merry band of spacegoing characters that includes people from Farscape, Red vs Blue, Alien, Mouthwashing, and others, so even if negative CR happens with Gaeta, you'll have plenty of other sci-fi folks to pester.

A "choose your own adventure" style game where you decide how little/how much you want to do/effect the premise. Focus is on exploration and character development with bits of plot as it's primarily down to the players to do as they like and effect where the game goes. It's ocean/pirate-esque themed and it sure been amusing watching Sonic try to deal with being surrounded by water. A quick cast going on is, they're playing chicken with Eggman and having an uneasy truce right now. Cept Surge and Kit, they do whatever they want, like trying to kill Sonic. AC is only 5 comments and there is a reward system where you can turn your extra threads into points that can be used for regains, buying a boat, an island, neat stuff.
As a note, there is a cast cap at ten, so there's only two slots left. Unfortunately the game doesn't allow character dupes at this time. Next application period will require an invite from a player due to almost reaching game cap. We're happy to offer one if you end up liking the premise! [game info]: Pixie Led is a panfandom, semi-private, mission-based, dark fantasy & folk horror game where characters are spirited away to the Fae Realm and given whatever they need in exchange for obeying their new masters. Events are on a bi-monthly basis with apps opening at the end of every month. It has an incredibly diverse playerbase so far that's been lots of fun and makes it easy to find whatever kind of CR you're looking for!

And I'd love any castmates from any canonpoint, too, so if you have an old muse but don't really want to watch like five seasons to catchup I encourage apping anyway! (i kind of would die for a castmate from earlier in the series bc katsuki is from chapter 410 and would Freak TF Out)

Characters are given powers based on one of the four seasons and tasked with restoring the balance in the world. To survive in this world characters need to touch one another at least once a week (ideally once a day)."
To give some more information:
💣 It's sex friendly and can be ship focused, but it's mostly focused around the characters being heroes and helping save Ellipsa. It's been a perfect setting for My Hero Academia characters, honestly! There's even Hero Merch made of our characters from the locals! And you can very easily play without ever touching the sex part of the game if you're uncomfortable with it! (this game is an all ages game so the sex parts are just there if you want to interact with them!)
💣 It's a fairly decently paced game, medium to fast, and it's a check in AC! But it's also a very backtag/backdating friendly space if you're on the slower side (I'm tagging threads from March still---)! There's a nice mix of people who are like me with no life and tag all day, and those who have lives and can't tag quite as much. Everyone still gets plenty of CR! 🧡
💣 There's a LOT of quests, events, festivals, businesses, and all other kinds of activities to get involved in!
💣 No power loss, so they get to keep their Quirks on top of the Season based powers that they gain! Both Katsuki and Shoto are Winters :)
💣 There's so many game genres in Seasons that you'll be sure to find something you'd like to interact with! There's been missions, adventuring and unlocking new locations, monster changing elements, horror events, crack-like elements to events, and there's the sex game aspect as well though it's not something you HAVE to interact with if you don't want to. Rather than there being sex based events with gen stuff to interact with, it's more the opposite in Seasons! Also, there's Pokemon that your characters can catch and battle!! This game has everything I swear---
💣 There's a mechanic where characters have to touch each other to survive and keep their powers strong, which can range from holding hands to having sex to beating the shit out of each other. Characters sparring will help them stay alive, so the shier Heroes will be okay too! (if characters dont touch for a week, they turn to stone)
💣 It's a private, invite-only game but still pretty big and everyone I've met has been super welcoming and open! Obviously, you'd be getting an invite from me if you're interested! You need an invite to post to the TDM, too, so if you're interested in posting to it hit me up!!!
💣 Katsuki and Shoto have been here alone for months help-- Shoto has been in Seasons since the game opened in 2023, and Katsuki's been here since January of this year! A lot has happened with these two, esp Katsuki as of late (which I can get into in DMs) and they could use their friends!!

But this time it's a long term road trip, the moon exploded instead of the sun turning black, and it's probably not a cyber shaman's fault! Heat's a new arrival and from the end of DDS1 but Serph's been around for a few months and is a bit into DDS2. Perks of the game: no obligate cannibalism! You can (more or less) pick, OOCly, what you're becoming! You can pick out what vehicle you're driving around on this road trip! You can, if you really want to, get rid of your atma and just have the new monster you gain ingame.

[game info]: Escordvi is a semi-private, very choose-your-own-adventure game set largely on boats and the backs of island-size creatures. It has a very fun quest system, reward system, and AC is only a five-tag thread. Game info is here and there's a current TDM here! You need an invite, but I'd be thrilled to use mine for castmate purposes.
As for Faulkner: he is (essentially) post-canon, and while still something of a mess he is doing... surprisingly well in a setting that isn't human-sacrifice-powered-capitalism-hell, and one that's been giving him a lot of positive reinforcement for behaving like a halfway stable human being.
He has a volunteer job and a

[wanted]: Sooo many characters. The other Phantom Thieves are a big one, with special interest in Morgana, Ann, Ryuji, Futaba, Sumire, and Haru, along with Sae, Sojiro, and personally, I'd adore Guernica from Tactica, even if it's super duper unlikely. Would also adore Sophia, Zenkichi, Toshiro, and Erina. Maruki as well... and Shido being turned into a Pokémon would be very funny.
Ren and Akechi are both post-Royal, Akechi lives timeline. I've beaten Tactica and its DLC campaign, and I've started Strikers. Ren's player isn't familiar with Strikers or Tactica but open to characters from it.
For the other games, big wants are Naoto, Kanji, and Yu from P4 in particular (but we love the Investigation Team and other P4 characters, tbh), Ken Amada, either P3 protag, Aigis, Mitsuru, or Shinji (but again, we love the P3 cast), and my rare unicorns would be Sho or Labrys from the P4 Arena games, Jun from P2, and Reiji from P1.
But really, we love the Persona series and would love to see just about anyone!
