October EMP meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. ➤ The meme is for fiction-based RP only (with the only exception being involvement of fictionalized historical figures or historical settings.) Seasons is an invite-only, sex-friendly, urban fantasy game - although if you're interested, please feel free to reach out, I'm happy to give an invite! - where characters get thrown into another world as a "season holder", someone who is given abilities based on on of the four seasons and is tasked to help the world from the encroaching Darkness.
Characters deal with living in the world and handling both smaller quests and bigger expeditions. Events happen bi-monthly with new quests showing up on non-event months.
As for our cast, we've dealt with a big expedition to the Hell Dimension recently as well as a chill spa trip afterwards. Stelle also owns a pawn shop/night bar which will probably upgrade into a restaurant as well that people can come over to work at or hang out!

Obviously any P2s or P3s would be adored, (though our Aigis especially would love a protag + Koromaru or Ryoji) and other members of the main team for the P4 squad is great (though special shoutout to Kanji)! We've also had other Atlus titles in-game before that everyone has quickly adopted. If it isn't apparent from the semi-obscure characters we've got, we will excitedly love anyone who comes our way.

We want a lot as you can see and we honestly be happy to have anyone to round up our crew.

A "choose your own adventure" style game where you decide how little/how much you want to do/effect the premise. Focus is on exploration and character development with bits of plot as it's primarily down to the players to do as they like with the provided setting. It's ocean/pirate-esque themed and it sure been amusing watching Sonic try to deal with being surrounded by water. A quick cast going on, Amy got herself a cottage from an anonymous individual (It's Shadow). Tails and Sonic have moved in with her. Eggman is being challenged whether he actually cares for another person (That's an advanced AI funny enough), and having an awkward truce with the furry crew as long as he isn't doing anything bad.
AC is only 5 comments and there is a reward system where you can turn your extra threads into points that can be used for regains, buying a boat, an island, neat stuff.
At this time, the game doesn't allow character dupes and there is a canon cap of 10, so there's four slots left in the Sonic cast. Next application period will require an invite from a player due to almost reaching game cap. We're happy to offer one if you end up liking the premise! [game info]:Anyone from the class 431+ or earlier. Having younger members meet older Izuku would be interesting. Izuku being upset and freaking out about being stuck in a situation he cannot save them from would be heartbreaking. As a quick understanding, Izuku wouldn't want to do anything with them, but he does know a lot of people within their age range to refer them to.
Having younger Pro Heroes meet Older Izuku would be funny too and neat.
That said, anyone is cool.
This is a horror pandering sex game, meaning the story leans into dark themes. Everyone CWs appropriately, and the community is very welcoming. The mod team is interactive, and players are great about pacing and backtagging, which honestly makes it easy to have fun, take breaks, or jump back in anytime.

[game info]: Synflux is a cyberpunk Kaiju-fighting mission based game. Characters are brought in to a future version of Tokyo where the earth has been consistently attacked by Kaiju, and LILITH is seeking new outsiders to assist in the cause. The choices LILITH makes in outsiders can sometimes... be questionable.
The game follows a bimonthly rotation of events and TDMs. The AC is 20 "points", which is generally either 20 network comments or 10 log comments across 3 threads, which is fairly easy to achieve! You can also bank activity for rewards, as well. The game has an active and engaged playerbase, and is really excellent for forming cross-canon CR! The game's pace varies, but we have a large variety of paces within the game, and everyone has been super friendly towards backtags!
The game's TDM opens on November 1st at Midnight UTC along with reserves. Applications open on the 5th! If you have any questions, or want to chitchat, either of us would be down to answer any questions! I'm also always down to thread on bkst or elsewhere if you want to get a feel for writing styles as well!

[game info]: Karteria is a dark fantasy monster transformation game with horror elements (particularly psychological and body horror) where characters are brought to the game's world in order to help save it from impending apocalypse, as a mineral called Katalyth has led people to have to live within barrier-protected cities due to its effects on unprotected humans. In order to survive in this world and travel beyond the barriers, characters are fitted with an Augmenter, a device that contains a "Natural Soul" of animal, plant or mineral origin. However, while this grants them resistance to arcane radiation and new abilities, it also gradually changes their form to reflect the kind of Natural Soul they've been given. While there is plot to follow and put together (all very well constructed, some clues given over months have been coming together in this month's plot), it's not necessary to be strongly involved in the deeper information, as characters can forge their own directions - there are characters working in entertainment and arts to connect more strongly with the local community, in farming to try and help stabilise food supply, in law to try and stabilise the status of the Augmented, as explorers to try and establish what's going on among the islands characters can access so far...there's a lot of ways to take things!

TLDR; In the eyes of Dr. Varker you can be two things on this ship, staff or Inmates. If you were asked to come on board,q it was for the sole reason that the Admiral, in his infinite wisdom knew you would say yes. Anyone else he doesn't give a choice, because there are no more choices, only his 'path to redemption'.

You are one of two people. The Good or the Bad. On board the barge, you are the Warden, or you are the Inmate.
The Barge is a great vessel, borne of the minds of merciful beings from every universe, every timeline, birthed from them all. On deck it appears very much to simply be an immense, luxurious ship, and the waters beneath it are space itself. Looking from the railing, a passenger might catch glimpses of the worlds and events they are passing.
It is commanded by the mysterious Admiral -- a figure often spoken of but never seen. The mostly silent force guiding you along your journey, delegating punishments and rewards.
Inmates are those very lost souls first mentioned. Presented with the harsh reality of how very near to utter annihalation their souls have come, they are given an option: live as an inmate aboard the barge, endure the trials set before them and learn from them, and be eventually granted a second chance at life. Also among the Inmates are their Wardens, individuals of moral character (in most cases) given the task to look after them, standing in as their moral compass during their time aboard the Barge. These are the sort who have come to the Barge through trade with the Powers That Be as they know them. Perhaps they work in exchange for the return to life of a lost loved one, or an extension on their own life. Or perhaps they are former Inmates, who have chosen to spend their new life helping others like them.

Ellipsa is the world of the four Seasons. Long time ago there were those who were able to control the powers of the seasons. However, after The Tragedy of Greed the power holders started disappearing until there were only a few left. Due to the disappearance of the power holders, the world started shifting into chaos and many areas were lost to the Darkness. The world became smaller and more dangerous, with earthquakes and other natural catastrophes making their way to the world.
The last remaining power holders decided that something had to be done. If the natives could no longer hold the powers of seasons they had to summon people from other worlds to help instead. So they hatched a plan and started preparing for the rituals.
Unfortunately people from other worlds wouldn't be able to survive just like the natives would. They needed something to keep them from falling apart. That was decided to be "touch". Should otherworlders touch each other regularly they would be able to live fairly normal lives. Any kind of physical contact would work.
And once they'd restore the balance and figured out a way to get natives to adapt to powers again they would be sent home. That was a promise they made. Unless, of course, someone wanted to stay behind.

Guel, of course, would be capital, as I've taken Elan after the epilogue, and Eri would be wild given some of the weird shit we're doing with permet. Seriously, though, we'd be thrilled to see anybody! We ❤️❤️❤️ GWitch's entire cast.
EvenEspecially Prospera.[game info]: Karteria is a sex-friendly, monster-transformation game with strong worldbuilding and a sci-fi/mystery/fantasy metaplot that places great emphasis on players' contributions to the overarching storyline. Patho-Gen, a
shadytotally normal scientific organization, has implanted another soul into your character's body, turning them into a special hybrid entity called an "Augmented." They've done this because they're about two seconds away from an apocalypse that only you, the Augmented, can help them stave off. You get some cool, soul type-specific powers as a result of this implant at the cost of your original body becoming "corrupted" over time. The mods encourage player creativity here, and they are receptive even to the dumbest/wildest ideas -- Elan Prime, for example, can "shift" into the form of a giant robot because he shares his body with a permet soul.Our next TDM will go live on November 4th, with an ATP/EMP up a few days before on the 2nd! PERSONA @ BOTTLECAP BAY

[wanted]: SO MANY CHARACTERS. From P5, definitely the other Phantom Thieves, with a special interest in Morgana, Ann, and Ryuji from our Ren player, and Haru, Futaba, and Sumire from me. That being said, Sae, Makoto, Sojiro, Maruki... so many P5 characters would be delightful. Both Akechi and Ren are post-Royal!
Tbh, I'd even take a Shido for the potential intrigue that would bring.
For Persona 4, Naoto and Kanji are probably the big ones for me, but we'd both adore Yu and the Investigation Team as a whole, along with Dojima and Adachi. Marie would also be super fun!
For P3, Ken is my biggest wish along with Shinji, but either protagonist, the other SEES members, Ryoji, and Chidori would all be fantastic! Aigis would make such a cool Iron Valiant.
For older Persona, my biggest wants are Jun Kurosu and Reiji Kido due to the potential awesome CR with Akechi, but with an IS Maya on the TDM, it'd be rad to see Eikichi, Tatsuya (either timeline), Katsuya, and Ulala. Yukino would be excellent, and any of the P1 gang would be rare unicorns that I'd quite enjoy!
And for spinoffs, Sho Minazuki is my big dream CR, but I'm also very fond of Sophia and Zenkichi from Strikers, Guernica from Tactica's DLC, Labrys, and both Toshiro and Erina. Ren's player is less familiar with Strikers and Tactica, and I'm only partway through the former, but still open to characters!

Characters come depowered (except for 1 vial they wake up with that gives them a special power), but can exchange points to get powers and items returned to them! Invites can be obtained easily enough through players within the game or by asking one of the mods!

[game info]: Duplicity is a dystopian sex game where characters have to navigate an oppressive society, power imbalances, and kinky events that often try to bring out their negative traits. Though the premise is dark, the game makes it easy to play to your own preference and interests, so you can lean into the dystopia and horror of it all, or focus on lighter, slice of life aspects, or strike a balance, whatever, you do you! Medium pace, easy AC, monthly events, bimonthly TDM, lots of backtagging, idk what else to say I've never done an EMP ad before.

But we also have VERY PUBLIC AND MESSY OLD MAN POLYCULE to spectate, and fun player run activities like a community garden, a shrine to any and all gods, and various parties that may be a front for a heist. Also you can encourage/prevent Yugamu from pursuing a guy who thinks puppets are sexy. Help me.
