November EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. ➤ The meme is for fiction-based RP only (with the only exception being involvement of fictionalized historical figures or historical settings.) [wanted]: Obviously we have a BIG cast for P5 but out of the main PTs we're now ONLY missing Ann! We would LOVE to see her and have a full cast of Thieves (plus Mishima would love Shiho as an extra bonus). We'd also ADORE a Maruki for Royal shenanigans (everyone is Royal compliant), we used to have a Sumire so she would be welcomed, and our Sophia would cherish a Zenkichi. Obviously any P2s or P3s would be adored (though special points for any p3 protag + Koromaru, Ryoji, or Fuuka) and other members of the main team for the P4 squad is great (though special shoutout to Kanji, Chie, or Dojima)! We've also had other Atlus titles in-game before that everyone has quickly adopted. If it isn't apparent from the semi-obscure characters we've got, we will excitedly love anyone who comes our way.

Cyrene would also absolutely be loved.
I'd also especially love to see the Flamechasers from Honkai Impact 3rd as they have quite a few things in common with the Chrysos Heirs.

Seasons is an invite-only, sex-friendly, urban fantasy game (with check in bimonthly AC!) - although if you're interested, please feel free to reach out, I'm happy to give an invite! - where characters get thrown into another world as a "season holder", someone who is given abilities based on on of the four seasons and is tasked to help the world from the encroaching Darkness.
Characters deal with living in the world and handling both smaller quests and bigger expeditions. Events happen bi-monthly with new quests showing up on non-event months.
As a heads up: players can immediately apply from a 3.7 canon point just as long as you warn others for spoilers in tags as appropriate!
As for our cast: some of us are handling an AU event until the 10th and will be going on an expedition in the later half of the month after the event that drops on the 14th.
Stelle also owns a pawn shop/night bar which will probably upgrade into a restaurant as well that people can come over to work at or hang out!

EvenEspecially Prospera.[game info]: Karteria is a sex-friendly, monster transformation game with strong worldbuilding and a sci-fi/mystery/fantasy metaplot that places a strong emphasis on players' contributions to the overarching storyline. Patho-Gen, a
shadytotally normal scientific organization, has implanted another soul into your character's body, turning them into a special hybrid entity called an "Augmented." They've done this because they're about two seconds away from an apocalypse that only you, the Augmented, can help them stave off. You get some cool, soul type-specific powers as a result of this implant at the cost of your original body becoming "corrupted" over time. The mods encourage player creativity here, and they are receptive even to the dumbest/wildest ideas -- Elan Prime, for example, can "shift" into the form of a giant robot because he shares his body with a permet soul.If you have any questions about the premise, feel free to get in touch! MACROSS @ KARTERIA

[wanted]: Any from any installment, although my soul for the rest of the Frontier triangle, and Sheryl would die for Freya within five minutes of meeting her. I think Grace would be really funny because she digs monster transformation and would try to out-mad-scientist the mad-scientist NPCs.
[game info]: Sketchy scientists giving people critter abilities, there are periodic issues with mind control and implants, there is plot-significant music, there are magic rocks, yes I can describe a significant amount of the plot as "what if if Frontier and Delta had a baby" no not that baby. I enjoy that character actions have a tangible impact on the setting and plot! This is my first monster transformation game and I also enjoy that the speed and nature of the transformations are largely within player control.

Reserves open 11/21, apps open 11/24, there's a fifteen reserve/app limit this month so reserves are probably necessary.

[game info]: It's a horror game set in a post apocalyptic dreamscape where characters awaken changed due to a Deity known as Sleep. Characters are changed into Tokens or Offerings- Tokens are basically humans with magic powers! Lightweavers, Pyromancers, etc. Offering are changed into monster type creatures! Mers, Swarmlings, etc.
Till is a Lightweaver. On the other hand, Ivan is a twenty-foot long centipede naga (Swarmling). They're doing great. =)
Characters can create bonds between each other called Tethers that help them mentally and physically fight against some of the negative effects of the environment. It allows characters to feel each other/understand feelings and thoughts and connect on a deeper level.
NGL it's been very helpful for these stupid stupid boys.
We would genuinely love cast! The game is invite only, but everyone is given one invite, can post to the TDM to ask for an invite, and the mod gives out a certain amount on the TDM too!

[game info]: Pumpkin Hollow is a tongue-in-cheek horror comedy with both a big overarching mystery and plenty of opportunity for smaller character-driven moments. It's very backtag-friendly, has easy AC, and holds engaging monthly events. We're a little over two years in, so while a lot of the mystery has been solved, there are still a few big plot moments ahead in the year and a half of gameplay remaining. RED VS BLUE @ PUMPKIN HOLLOW
[fandom]: Red vs. Blue
[game's current cast]: A buncha fuckin' Freelancers. We currently have CT, Carolina, and the Dakota twins.
[who I play]: North Dakota!
[wanted]: We'd be particularly interested to see Washington or York, but also any other Freelancers, Reds, or Blues!
[game info]: We're a horror comedy game with a premise that's easy for characters who are dead or had close calls. A period setting, which is great for making spacers delightfully miserable--- the idea is that an encounter with death pulls your spirit into the office of a white-haired woman (who is secretly a death goddess) that offers you a chance to win your life back, in exchange for taking up residence on a cursed Victorian Gothic island and helping to resolve the curse. The game oscillates between Victorian slice of life, spooky-themed shenanigans, mystery-solving, and genuine horror, so there's something for everyone no matter what your flavor is. Demons, elder gods, fae, and more await!
Currently we're trying to see if we can beat the Magnus Archives in terms of cast size so we would love your help with that, and also it's my birthday, which means you are legally obligated to come play toys with me. <3 Our TDM is here!
PERSONA @ ROUTE 666

[who I play]: Akechi!
[wanted]: More Phantom Thieves (including Sumire), Sojiro, Maruki, and Sae would be great for P5, but more niche characters like Toshiro, Erina, Guernica, Zenkichi, and Sophia would also be rad.
For Persona 3, our Akihiko player would love a Mitsuru and I'd adore a Ken Amada, but anyone from SEES would be cool. I also wouldn't mind Strega characters to bounce off of Akechi. Or Ryoji. Ryoji is cool. I will note that Ken would likely have to be from Ultimax due to the game's age minimum being 13.
For Persona 4, Naoto Shirogane is the big one for me, but we'd love anyone from the Investigation Team, Adachi, and Dojima for sure. Sho Minazuki from Arena is my rare unicorn that I'd adore as well (also Labrys).
We're also very open to Persona 1 and 2 characters! Jun or Reiji would be especially fun to play off of, but while I can't speak for everyone, I love the casts of all these games.

[game info]: Duplicity is a sex game that revolves around kinks and character's reactions. You're either a Dominant or a Submissive (although there are events where it can change, so if you want to switch you designation, it will likely come up again at some point). There are quotas and contracts, but a/c can just be regular interactions from a variety of different sources (network post, open log, comments, tdm replies). There are monthly events that go on, plus regular interactions of trying to navigate the dynamics of the game. While a sex game, the ac proofs do not need to be.
Current TDM will be posted soon here, which has everyone as Submissives. Reserves opened on the 12th and then Apps will open from the 16th until the 20th.
THE TERROR @ SINGILLATIM

Full transparency: we are heading into endgame territory (info on endgame dates & whatnot) but there's about half a year until endgame actually hits and plenty still in store here! So if anyone would like to bring in a cold boy (or Best Girl Silna) for some shenanigans in this setting that honestly suits this canon extremely well, we would love to have them :) I should also mention we've previously had: Francis Crozier, Thomas Jopson, & Harry Goodsir in-game, if that matters (since I know some folks prefer not to bring in characters who were in a game before and deal with current characters remembering other versions of them), but we'd love any and all Terrors & Erebites! We'd also love to see some of the lesser-played guys like Dundy (please don't make me type out his whole name), Graham Gore, John Bridgens, Henry Peglar, Solomon Tozer, & Thomas Blanky!

Gameplay focuses on character development and character stories, with survival / post-apocalyptic themes, and some supernatural / folk horror thrown in for good measure. Characters are de-powered, with chances to gain powers within the game setting. There is no network."
