FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be frozen and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

hey buddy!! Would you consider

driftfleet for any of your bnha kids? We've only got myself and a REALLY GREAT Uraraka for a cast, but the pace is really reasonable, it's backtag friendly and the AC is very easy (2 threads, 5 comments each monthly).

If you'd like to test it out a little, please consider hitting up our current test drive over here! (We've also got a kirishima considering as well!!!)

I'll definitely check it out and maybe post something at the test drive to give it a whirl. What's the plot and setting like in driftfleet?

It's deffo jamjar; you basically get kidnapped onto this fleet of spaceships that goes around to different planets and systems. there's periods of just the ships for downtime and then there are systems which usually have some plot and some good opportunities for doing your own stuff. player plots are encouraged, i've done one myself

the main plot is there's this bad company called atroma that brought you there, supposedly it's for reality tv, you're being monitored all the time, etc etc, but a lot of the plot involves people trying to figure out why they're being brought to the places they are. there's some real exciting stuff, too! most recent event was where they moored at this planet that had a meteor incoming, and had to help organize a continental evacuation, it was p cool

OOoh that's pretty cool that you get to explore the planets you travel/visit. :O I'll try to post in the TDM tonight or tomorrow, I've got DnD tonight so idk how long that will go. I took a peak at the TDM and I guess it's open by season? With no start/end date minus the different season?

no rush!! yeah the tdm is all season long so it'll be up until end of november; that one is still pretty fresh, and lots of people regularly check back.

We have a fairly decent sized BNHA cast at

recolle and we would love to have Tetsutetsu, Hagakure or Tsuyu! Recolle is a modern setting memloss AU game where characters regain memories and abilities of their canon selves. It's got a fairly decent mix of plot and SOL, with plenty of opportunities for player plots and all sorts of other stuff. Our AU planning workshop goes up on October 10th, and our TDM later in the month. The pace is actually pretty quick, and there's always something to do!

The cast right now is Aizawa, Todoroki, Izuku, and Kirishima in addition to my Momo. The cast is just starting to realize they are connected, and some of them have started gaining back their powers.

Oh the AU planning workshop seems helpful, especially since I've never dabbled in AU games but I'm not opposed to learning. :o I'm guessing the workshop is open to potential players so they can get an idea of how their character exists in the game?

What's AC like? I was actually considering

recolle because a lot of my non bnha friends are up in there and raving about the cute bnha cast but I still don't really understand how AC works other than everyone stops tagging when its due because of a point system?

The workshop is for potential players, yes! It's there to help you build some pre-existing CR and figure out where they are before "joining" officially. So if your character is in school you can find other classmates, or if you want an AU family you can arrange that. Things like that.

AC sounds more complicated from the outside I think? It's 2 proofs of at least 10 comments, over no more than 4 threads. Which feels standard, nowadays I think? It also requires 1 Memory Regain (which is something you get just by threading usually)

The point system is for bonus points. Every tag you do in excess of the 20 comment proofs counts for bonus points towards regaining canon abilities/canon items. A network tag is 1 point, an action tag is 2 points.

The reason people do a tag freeze is once you submit AC, any more tags are going to throw off your point totals and you'll 1) miss points you could have earned and 2) the mods will ask you to revise your totals and that's more work for them and you.

Does that break it down for you?

Ah that's cool! I didn't realize it could work like that. *-* Now I don't know who I want to test the waters with. Probably Tsuyu or Tetsutetsu. Hagakure would be cool but her invisibility really forces me to get extra creative with her AU background since they don't have their powers at the start?

What kind of AU background do you have for Momo if you don't mind me asking? :o curious to see what the bnha people came up with.

Thank you, thank you <3 I haven't been in a game or on the rp scene in what seems like millions of years so I'm a bit behind the times in terms of how AC and the like has changed with the community so I'm not really sure what is and isn't standard. This makes the AC at recolle seem less scary now haha.

Yes that's right, no powers to start out with! Or body changes, you have to get those back. Hagakure would need to have a face for a bit :P

My background for Momo is that she was raised in America to immigrant parents. Because the game is set in America. She's named Mary, rather than Momo, to Americanize her. Family is well off, and she just moved to Recolle City to stay with her uncle (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) while her mom and dad do an extended business trip into Asia. She's not as well off as canon because we can't all be uber-rich! But still upper-middle class. She's 17 *now* since her birthday was recently and mostly is just integrating into being a transfer student in high school. My app is in my journal, I'm just on my phone so I can't link it atm.

It doesn't have to be some big crazy backstory, since characters are leading a completely normal life until the game starts!

We have an Izuku, a Shouto and an Iida over at

thefarshore who are always on the lookout for castmates! It's a medium-paced urban fantasy sort of game where characters enter as either new incarnations of gods or shinki, which are memloss'd weapons of gods. The AC is quite straightforward - it's two proofs of either 5 log or 10 network comments, and though there is a reward system, the mods count those tags themselves, so there's no need to log any more for AC than just those two proofs. Also, since the time ratio is 3 OOC:1 IC day, it's very backtag-friendly and generally medium-paced anyway.

The TDM is going up tomorrow on the OOC comm,

takamagahara, so it's a good time to test the waters if you're interested!

Is there any goal to being new incarnations of god/shinki? How does the plot move with this kind of setting?

Basically the overall goal of the game is to find out why gods and shinki are coming to the world at all, but there's an underlying plot of a revolution against the current leadership of the Heavens - there have both been escalating attacks against Amaterasu, the god in charge, culminating in the burning down of her temple, and other large-scale misfortunes against the human population of the world which haven't been tracked down to a source yet (for example, the last event involved a shopping complex being cursed with bad luck and ultimately burning down, and there was a company involved also connected to another curse incident from one of the first events in the game). There's a mission and prayer system through which characters can get various kinds of plot hints to potentially follow this stuff up, and others resurface in later plots.

In general, the goal of being an incarnated god or a shinki serving them is to do right by your followers - as mentioned, there's a prayer system that allows characters to do jobs for their followers in return for rewards. There's also the element of protecting said followers from ayakashi (demons which need to be defeated by a god and shinki working together), and also the fact that more followers = more power in the setting. There are certain characters aiming for high positions in the Heavens through gaining followers to get more contact with the older gods and prompt more change for the better in the setting, and others who are doing it for their own ends.

I don't have any castmates to offer you other than the fact we have a big general Marvel cast, but I think a lot of your characters would go great at the superhero themed

maskormenace! (Also I just like BNHA too and would love to see people from that there). It's got opportunities for SOL and almost always has a player or mod plot every month to shake things up.

It IS big and kinda medium-fast but everybody's great at backtagging and nobody expects you to even keep up with half the game. The easiest way to get ac is two log threads 3+ comments and there's a lot of other ways to get it too so I find it pretty easy.

I actually played in cnc back in the days before it became mom! What is different from cnc with mom? (If you know that is- if not that's ok just curious!) CNC was my last rpg game before I took a billion year old hiatus so I'm a bit behind the times haha.

I used to play in CnC too for a bit! (though with different characters; if we overlapped at all I played Calendar Man & a bunch of others)

I'd say it's similar but the major differences are the setting, which isn't I Can't Believe It's Not New York, it's split into four different cities along the East Coast with teleporters for ease, and it has a vague 50s aesthetic with hover cars and junk, the tone is a bit less chaotic and characters are a bit more restricted - there's a whole thing about registered vs unregistered imPorts. There's also a big shared log every month (the swear-ins for registering) that makes sure there's always a way to get new cr.

Also I'm not 100% sure how awk it is to say this but MoM's got a lot less drama on the ooc front too, if that matters at all. It's pretty chill!

And that's good. I partly left due to ooc stuff and dealing with personal issues that people spread out into anon comms. It left me pretty bitter but it's good to see MoM is doing better about things.

You can say "castmates not necessarily needed" but I would in fact murder for you if you brought Mukuro over to The Far Shore. It looks like one of my friends has already given you the rundown on the game itself but while trying to tempt you for the BNHA cast. Ignore him. I will fight him in a cage match for this.

(ok, I tease. Anyone you bring will be welcome. But I am just highly biased as to who, and I know our Ken Joshima is too.)

To answer your question of "what goals are there"... There are a few things you can do! Both gods and shinki can make moves to basically become the strongest forms they have- a "God of Fortune" or a "Hafuri vessel" respectively. This basically means gods have hit the big time, and that Shinki have shown themselves to have the ultimate devotion for their gods. These both come with their own respective perks, although both get a new power as part of the deal.

There is also an overarching plot regarding people pulling dangerous things like spreading around cursed charms, reanimating the dead to make violent zombies, and apparently summoning a demon at some point. Some think it might be the same person/group who wants to overthrow the Heavens (aka the NPC Japanese gods who are technically responsible for watching over all these strange interlopers).

Player plots are also highly encouraged! Someone who's trying to figure out why gods and shinki disappear (OOCly drop) once messed up and temporarily turned everyone into children or old people. Another character was also secretly a murder (OOCly offering a different out for people who were dropping) and a small group of characters had to catch him. So all sorts of things are welcome!

Haha I will admit Mukuro is a somewhat newish muse (I don't even have a journal for him really) but I've been playing a lot of similar characters to his nature/demanor so I want to give him a whirl. :) I used to play Hibari waaaaayyy back in the day but I don't think I can really do brooding angry types very well nowadays haha.

Also thank you for expanding on the goal question. :o I might try to snag a Mukuro journal and some icons and throw bnha and khr into the tdm. I can't make any solid promises but the premise seems really interesting!

Good news is that I collected all the KHR icons I could find on LJ before both it and Photobucket got messed up, so have some icons. The credit for each icon should be in the file name. I think I went something like "character - site - icon creator"?

No promises necessary! What matters is you having fun, whichever character or game you decide to go with.

....But if a cage fight would help tilt the scales for TFS and/or Mukuro, let me know. :V

Hello! I'm potentially applying to Reach, which is a sci-fi/horror-themed game that's looking to open soon. AC seems very straightforward with 10 log comments or 20 network comments per month, and there are additional opportunities for IC rewards depending on thread content.
