ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be frozen and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. echoing the anon up there, i didn't think i'd see one floating around anywhere either! sadly i've failed out of riverview more than once before, so i'm not sure it's the right game for me. but it has been a while since i've tried again, so i'll definitely keep an eye on it!

i threw up a toplevel a while ago to give it a shot! sadly i don't know if i'd be able to handle it, since it appears to be very popular again and it'll have an even smaller cap, but i definitely enjoy the premise of working for an incentive. it's really great for a character like clarice.

oh shoot that's a bummer because it definitely seems like a blast! i know lots of people are re-joining, so that'll probably account for lots of the numbers too. i know what you mean, with lorna too it's like ok how do i leave. having a reason to stick around was cool!

i'm keeping an eye on it, just in case! i'm in desperate need of a canon review though, so hopefully that will make me a little more motivated to actually write an app, lol... and yeah, oh gosh, i can definitely imagine it'd be 10x harder for a character like lorna

You could have a look at station72 - it's a small game (caps at 30 players) with a slower pace thanks to the day ratio being longer (usually 1-2 IC days per OOC week). Characters are basically rescued from an Enemy by the Nest, a hivemind unit working to stop the Enemy from doing harm to the multiverse. Characters are given an alien symbiote that connects them to the hivemind and grants them special abilities.

The Nest goes on missions in various space locales, the tone of which varies, as does the outcome based on character input. The mods are amazing at crafting really elaborate settings and offering multiple avenues for characters to explore, from SOL to deep espionage. And all characters are part of smaller Broods within the Nest, so you have instant CR with your broodmates from all of them being in each others' heads.

We don't have anyone from The Gifted yet, but I've got Rogue there from X-Men: Days of Future Past, and we've got Sam, Bucky, and Clint from the MCU. If you're interested, here are some links:

thanks so much for responding! i've peeked at s72 a couple of times in the last year or so, but i never did seem to have the right character for it. clarice might be an interesting fit, given how closed off she can be, though i must admit i struggle with the hivemind aspect of the game as a concept overall. (then again, i'm also lazy so that might be the main reason here...)

There are a lot of closed off types in s72, it makes it really interesting when they still have to deal with other people having a peek at their heads. I was kind of unsure about the hivemind side of things at first and struggled with how to navigate it, but now it's one of my favorite things to play with in the game. There's a lot of ways to explore it versus a set way it has to be dealt with, so that's nice.

That's the most recent TDM, yep! Since it's not game canon and application numbers are never huge, the mods just let that one stay. If you decide to try Clarice out on there, I'll share the top-level on my plurk so other s72 folks will be sure to see it.

that's true! it can definitely be an interesting concept; i think just the unfamiliarity of it is what put me off in the first place.

but thank you so much! i've just gone back to work so my time is suddenly split, and i think i'm in desperate need of a canon review, but once i feel more comfortable i'll definitely dip a toe in just to see how it goes. :)
