January EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. but yes HI. I've actually been meaning to pick this guy back up again, so if you're ever interested in random shenanigans I'd be all over it. If not that's cool, too, I'm just happy to see someone with Rytlock :D

i would definitely be down for Adventures! or voice testing. i'm pretty sure these two had went off by themselves on more than one occasion, surely there are stories worth telling at a norn moot! ...also i need better icons :( where does everyone get the nice shiny clean ones

adventuring, voice testing, it's all the same in the end. but yes their banter is just the best I'm so happy they had Rytlock and Canach interact so much in PoF.
as for icons, I actually made a Canach lookalike in game and just took screenshots/video and iconned all the emotes xD Wasn't cheap since gemstore :| but Rytlock has in-game armor/weapons so that's easier.

seriously they were A+ I actually read a comment in a reddit thread how the devs was essentially like they learned that they just needed to throw in more Canach into the story LOL. but yeah threading wise, we could either try a meme or just do a random scene set in the storyline? /open for anything /o/
the hardest part was dealing with the armor dyes. i had also made a set for his original armor and all the greens...all the greens and didn't help that sylvari armor dyes weirdly sometimes /face in hands. but i remember the NPCs emoting more in the PoF instances so you should be able to catch a few shots! I know that's what I initially tried before I threw my hands up and made a clone lol

I'm glad they realized that without keeping us away from his delightful presence too long. Just kidding any amount of time is too long. I'll probably want to quick-review a season or two since I basically pulled Rytlock from personal story (hence the lack of revenant gear in the icons...) but gotta start somewhere! I think there's a random scenario meme around, that's always good for voicetesting. Or we can fill in some blanks like that time they apparently went on a spying mission I don't even.
MAN, THAT IS DEDICATION. On the other hand, look at those beautiful contrasted icons that actually show the character face clearly... bless

As for threading, why not both. I also would have to canon review but ehhh we don't have to be completely factually correct! It's all for fun 8D I can make a top le—waaait there's a lost in the woods meme that could also work! Just change it to "lost in the desert" and boom lol

It can sort of look too bright depending on background but it somehow works? Especially when there's a bunch of smaller details, since it gets highlighted and allows you to actually see character's expression even though the face takes up a relatively small part of the icon. Or maybe I just like colorful. :'D

AND RIGHT AS I WAS GOING TO DIG UP THE MEME, the random scenario one popped up again lol. I felt bold and went ahead and put a top level on it here if you'd rather that, but I can still do the other one if you want! Or we can just port the idea onto the random scenario one (and not make it so random haha). /flexible
