FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

thefarshore, where I play Davesprite and also Shun from Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V! It's an urban fantasy game where characters come in as either new incarnations of gods or as shinki (memloss'd weapons of gods), and while there's a regain system for memories and stuff, the mods count up any bonus AC points, so there's no having to do maths. It's also really backtag-friendly because of the time ratio, and doesn't power nerf.

Alternately, for Anzu, there's a few YGO DM characters over at

khuioduan, which is a fantasy exploration/worldbuilding game that opened last month. It only has a very simple bonus AC system (and not one that gates any plot stuff), and I've found it to be pretty chill and very backtag-friendly in the time I've been there.

It's urban fantasy and around medium pace, and there's the option for characters to come in with or without memloss depending on their role - they retain their memories if they come in as the new incarnation of a god, and lose them if they come in as a shinki, the weapon of a god.

It also doesn't power nerf regardless of which role you take and is super backtag-friendly! TDMs go up around the first day of each month.

You don't quite remember how you arrived here. It appears that you're suddenly in a dead land with eerily red skies. The grass is dead, the trees are dying, and there's absolutely no sounds of life beyond your own footsteps, even if it feels like you're being watched somehow. Eventually along the narrow path you follow, you walk through gates that seem to guard a quiet, abandoned town and a sinking feeling starts to settle in that you are far from home and there may not be an easy way back.

The sign hanging above the gates simply says "Welcome to Penance: Home Between Homes" and nothing more.

Within the gates, there are the leftovers of what may have once been a lively, welcoming little town, if it didn't look as if people either fled or somehow vanished in the blink of an eye. There are dusty shops that are still stocked with supplies, many with their doors busted out or left open. There are homes that haven't been touched in what feels like an eternity but they still have furniture and the remnants of the people who lived there previously. Cars and bikes are littering the streets that are in varying shapes of usability. The more you look, the more unsettling everything becomes.

At some point while wandering this creepy ghost town, all new visitors are greeted by the same small group. It's a curious mix of cherub faces and demonic sneers dressed up in smart suits. Professionals. They tell you that you were very bad in your past life, but not to worry, they are here with an offer that you really shouldn't refuse.

Stay in Penance and agree to undergo punishments for your sins, cleanse yourself of all that heavy baggage, or follow your less pleasant greeters down to the pits of Hell to suffer for an eternity...

atonementrp is a panfandom sandbox based in a town on the border between Hell and the living world called Penance. Characters are allowed to live their lives and work off their sins by agreeing to undergo punishments whenever their hosts see fit. In exchange, they can live their lives as normally as possible in between their trials until their debts are paid off.

We've got a pretty huge cast of Fire Emblems from various games over at

thefarshore who would love more castmates! It's an urban fantasy game set in the Heavens of Japan where characters enter as either new incarnations of gods or as shinki, the memloss'd weapons of gods. There's various plot stuff to look into through the mission/prayer system and a ton of monster fighting courtesy of the spirits of the setting, as well as helping the followers of the various gods with all kinds of problems.

The TDM and reserves go up at the start of each month.

Fade Rift doesn't have any castmates for you, but it's a medium-paced game with low monthly AC (five consecutive log comments, or ten consecutive network comments, or an open post) and a lot of players who enjoy Les Mis.

It's based in the Dragon Age universe (basically high fantasy), but you don't have to be canon familiar. There's a mix of adventure, SOL, and some other stuff — player plots have a big role in the game, and there's a large mod plot every other month. Characters can be AU'd into the setting, or arrive unchanged from their own canon.

AC is 10 log or 20 network comments across at least two posts, so it's pretty straightforward as well.

[game info]: Empatheias is a combination adventure and SOL game where emotions, any emotion, can make incredible things happen! It takes place in a world that's a mix of Fantasy and Steampunk and inhabited by incredible god-like creatures that represent and are affected by the spectrum of emotions. The pace is generally medium with some speed-up during intro and event posts and the game size is medium to medium-large with lots of opportunities for new and varied CR. There is no power nerfing and characters can also learn and train in the local emotion-based magics and abilities. You can learn more about the game here.

As for the cast itself, we're a bunch of laidback muns who love shenanigans and character drama in equal measure. Some of the cast just updated to post-V5 while others are from various points between V3-V5. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

[wanted]: a n y o n e like seriously, I would love anyone and everyone with any combination of classes. If I had to pick a handful of faves tho I'd say Rena, Elsword, Ara, Ciel or Elesis!

[game info]: TFS is based on the manga/anime Noragami, so familiarity with the series is a plus but not necessary! The gist of it is that characters are apped in as either Gods or Shinki. God characters take on the role of a god from any religion/mythology (including fictional gods!) and are given their own temple, a cool superpower of your choosing, and are assigned a shinki character to serve and protect them. Shinki characters lose all their memories on arrival (though they can regain portions of their memories by spending activity points OOCly) and are assigned to a god character, and with the help of said god character they can be transformed into a "vessel" (anything from weapons to animals to random everyday objects) that has a cool superpower of your choosing. Much more detailed info on the roles of gods/shinki can be found in the game's FAQ, but that's the short version!

The game has a very laid-back pace and a 3:1 day ratio, which is great if you ever need to take a hiatus or like to do a lot of backtagging! The genre is also a bit "choose your own adventure" in that there's a lot of options for slice of life, action, horror, missions and quests to complete, a touch of politics, etc., but you can easily choose which things you're most interested in and focus on those over others. I'm super into horror and investigations into the plot/setting, for example, so I tend to play up a lot of the more horrific aspects of the god/shinki roles when I can and focus more on investigating plot stuff ICly over other types of events.

TL;DR:
- 3:1 day ratio
- Medium/slow-paced (depends on who you tag, it's a big game)
- Elements of SoL, horror, action/missions, and an overarching game plot
- No powerloss/humanization
- OPTIONAL memloss w\ regains
- Setting-given powers for all characters

Add is currently acting as the god Henir (YEAH...) and I would kill to get some castmates for him, either as fellow gods with all their memories intact or shinki for him to secretly be really upset about. I know there are at least several RPers out there for Elsword (you people know who you are) so a lot of this is probably redundant, BUT HEY if there's anyone out there I haven't run into already... pls at least say hello I'd be happy to do some memes or PSL stuff too if TFS isn't your thing :'| I play a few other characters besides Add that I'd love to have an excuse to bust out again.
