ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. oh hi, how would you like to play against a saber alter in sexy city where merlin can be a derpy dom or a hilariously inept sub. because that's what duplicitynet is, yeah.

obviously it is a sex game but there's no smut ac and i would definitely qualify said ac as very straightforward. no humanization and VERY minimal power nerfing as well beyond anything gamebreaking so i'd say you're good there. the dom/sub contracts the game is built on also don't have to be sexual at all, so really you wouldn't have to play any more of that than you want to. plus we have a huuuuge cast. i mean huge. you won't be wanting for fellow fates, let's put it that way.

it is quite big, but i wouldn't necessarily say it's fast since it's more like a bunch of mini-games in one with how cr tends to play out. we have a tdm coming up on jan 11th so i'd love to see you there!

...... okay I'll admit I got as far as "play against a saber alter in sexy city" and my curiosity was already piqued from how much that would mess with Merlin alone, haha. XD

I glanced over some of the game info, but couldn't actually find the activity rules/requirements, do you happen to have a link where I could find them?

Also, this probably sounds like a dumb question, but are players generally okay with people sticking strictly to prose? I'd been leaning that way a lot in my RP in general for various reasons but much more recently have started getting migraines that have made it nigh-impossible for me to focus enough to do stuff in any other style when they're in full swing. and while I THINK I've sorted out what was causing them idk if/when they'll be back anyway So I use it pretty exclusively now regardless of other peoples' formats for my own sanity.

the activity requirements are two of the following each month, with your first month being a free check-in:

- five log comments from your character
- an open network or log post from your character
- ten network comments from your character
- fifteen private inbox comments from your character

again, given the size of your prospective cast, i can personally assure you that you're set for ac. you can use more than one of the same kind of proof too.

you would be fine sticking to prose and there is absolutely no format requirement, to address your initial concerns. it might be a good idea to be upfront in any cr memes or on your journal this is your preference, but even that isn't necessary. many people will simply adjust to match you. it's not a big deal at all!

Ahh yes that's pretty lowkey! And hahaha, yeah, that is a pretty large cast you guys have there...

And ahh okay! I just get paranoid because I have had people respond to me asking things like "what's a good way to let people know this is a preference without annoying them by repeating myself" with... lengthy explanations of all the ways I should be able to somehow make action tags/brackets/etc work for me instead.

i can't say i've ever encountered that attitude in dupe, so i think ur gonna be ok! i already promised someone i'd top level on the tdm so you can hit me up when it goes up if you'd like. should be interesting since you know, clairvoyance and all, so merlin foresaw this future too. :') but will it be any less tragic, of course not

it's funny because honestly part of the reason I started doing it more was originally because I realized that oh yeah it makes things easier for people who use screen readers! even though I'd never actually knowingly encountered someone in RP like that before

jan 11th, 5 PM est! and yes, i can tell you with 99% probability clairvoyance is the one thing merlin will either have taken away or nerfed, but other than that he should be fine. considering, you know, he'd rather wave around his staff like an idiot than cast useful spells. dork.

Yeah I mean when it's an ability that's basically acknowledged in canon as being completely godmode and the only thing stopping him from spying on actual gods is simply that he doesn't want to get retaliated against for doing it.... XD

Though I'd probably wanna ask for clarifications on some of the incubus-related stuff. Like the fact that he's uh. technically immortal even beyond the typical stuff for servants and all.

we have immortals on our roster and the mods will let you know what needs to be tweaked and work with you. tbh i don't think they'll care about his incubus status or the immortality - it's really just the game breaking stuff like i mentioned (our gilgamesh had to tone down gate of babylon to use another example). i really wouldn't worry about it til app time.

Yeah, I just sometimes like knowing some things in advance if it may impact the way a character handles day to day stuff. Merlin is just weird on multiple levels, haha.
