December EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. It's a fairly low-tech setting but characters are encouraged to upgrade and expand - the setting is actually very fluid in that regard, as player interaction has a huge effect on the setting and NPCs. Our AC is a completely automated system - all you have to do is tag - with non-compulsory AC available for IC rewards! Our current app round closes at 11:59pm EST on January 1st, so there's still time to get an app in if you like!

[game info]: Acata is a worldhopping game where characters are recruited by a balance keeping force to stem the tide of darkness in the multiverse.
So yeah, basically a typical Chosen Child afternoon.
The pace is chill and there are a lot of opportunities for plot and action without stepping into grimdark territory, so imo it's a good fit for the Adventure crew. Plus everyone gets a power of some sort, so they don't have to worry about being sidelined without their partners. The TDM and reserves go up in January, with the next app round starting February 1st. It's a capped game, but a decent amount of player slots have opened up over the break and I would adore seeing any castmates around! I'm also more than happy to answer any questions!

[game info]: El Nysa is a sci-fi/fantasy game set on the titular planet, where characters are relocated to after the destruction of their own worlds by a phenomenon only known as The Storm. There's a variety of cities and settings for characters to settle in (both more sci-fi and more fantasy flavoured), and factions that characters can gain reputation with through quests or other means, which unlock cool specific AC rewards (and quests sometimes also have cool rewards in their own right, like magic items). The pace is pretty chill (and the game is about medium size these days), people are happy to backtag, and AC is 2 proofs of 5 log or 10 network comments from a single thread (with AC rewards being based on bonus AC points).

And they're working their way towards Steven possibly learning a certain something...

[wanted]: In terms of ARC-V castmates, any of the Yu-boys or bracelet girls (particularly Yuya, Yuto, Ruri, Yuzu or Serena), any of the Lancers, or anyone from the Xyz Dimension would be cool. For the other series, there's way too many to list and I generally think it's fun to bounce off other YGOs between versions, so I'd be interested to see anyone from the other series in the game, really!
[game info]: The Far Shore is an urban fantasy game based on Noragami, where characters come in as either new incarnations of gods, or as shinki, the weapons of gods with no memories of their own lives (though memories can be regained via AC points). God and shinki pairs (or groups, since gods can have more than one shinki and shinki can "nora" to more than one god) live in the same temple and generally go out on prayers and things to gain more followers and keep the peace, but there's a good variety between SOL and plot stuff to get into depending on personal preference. The game has a 2:1 OOC:IC time ratio and people are very willing to backtag, and AC is 2 proofs of 5 log or 10 network comments which can be from multiple threads.

FIRE EMBLEM FATES @ MELODIES OF ETERNITY

[game info]: Medium panfandom game, vaguely based on Final Fantasy XIV (original world however); robust Job system (with the ability to create Custom Jobs as well; Corrin is working on Nohr Noble right now), ability to run player plots, plus an overarching metaplot involving an attack by Bahamut in April. Game is also planned to run for like another two years or so, so there's still plenty of time to get involved! I've been involved in the game since October, and it's a LOT of fun and a good group of people. Next application period is at the end of January, and another player HAS expressed an interest in running a Birthright version of Corrin as well, so we've also got that going for us too.

The setting is a floating island witha steampunk themed city, all above a world that was once destroyed and dying, but is now slowly beginning to see some return to life thanks to efforts from players and plot. There are beings called arehtei who represent emotional ranges like hope and despair, love and hate, trust and distrust, anger and calm. There are monthly events lead by the mods, and the AC is very simple. (10 comments, or a Post and 5 comments from the current month) The cast is still fairly new, with some vague plans to establish a hero organization. We're all very open and friendly as a cast and would welcome anyone who is interested in the game!

In terms of what's going on with the TFP cast, Soundwave is a CRAU and has been in CF for two years, so he's trying to grow a less shitty personality. He found out that Megatron denounced the Decepticons at the end of TFP, so he's kind of doing a bit of reflecting and realising maybe things weren't actually so great among the Decepticons. He's mostly in charge of fixing the ship everyone calls home too.

[game info]: Entranceway takes place in Wonderland. Yes, that Wonderland. People are taken from their worlds and placed in this gilded prison that slowly takes bits of their memories and shapes them into reality-warping events. Also, there is an alternate version of your character that lives on the other side of the mirrors.
Really chill game, apps are always open and processed every Sunday, AC is checked every two months and consists of one open post plus 24 tags over four threads. We have a TDM here, and threads from that can now be used in place of the third person sample on the apps.

[game info]: Sixth is a survival based game set on an Edwardian time-period island where characters have to come together to be a community and look after each other through experiments both intense and harmless. We have regular mod plots and player-based plots. Characters do lose their powers but are given new ones. Activity is very reasonable (one thread every two months) so if you have an off month, it's fine, but there's a point-based reward system and the players are active. Holds and apps are always open!

There's an overarching plot, where players decide an outcome of events and do some world building. Inbetween plots, things are more SOL and room to do player plots. Pacing-wise, from my experience it sits around mid-pace, with it picking up during events. You have two options to complete AC, 1 Entry and 7 comments from elsewhere, or 10 comments added up from two threads minimum. You only need to meet half AC the first month you app in!
