December EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. Daybreak Academy is a panfandom AU battle school roleplay following the students and teachers of the titular Academy. Ostensibly a rich private school nestled in the French alps, Daybreak is in truth a school for Candles, people who have exhibited growing supernatural abilities. Here, Candles are trained to combat the Nightfall, a prophesied time in which the sun will be blotted from the sky and dread monsters of the Outlands will once again roam it, bringing about the end of humanity. As the mists of the Outlands encroach ever further, Daybreak students must train and fight diligently to protect humanity and prepare. Night will fall soon, there isn't much time left.

“It’s okay.” The voice is familiar, the one that you trust the most. The one that you believe the most when it tells you: “everything is going to be alright. You’re here for a little while but I promise when your purpose is fulfilled, you will return home to the moment you were taken. When you’re ready, open your eyes.”
When your eyes open the room is dark and gloomy, it takes a while for your eyes to adjust and you feel as if you have been sleeping for a while. Or longer than a while. As your eyes adjust you realize that what you that was solid wall was just glass and you realize that because a school of bioluminescent fish swim by, bathing the water around them in an eerie green light.
Then the door opens and golden light spills into the room. “The Sphere told us you were up,” the voice belongs to a gruff man or an equally gruff woman. “No use laying there kid. This is as real as real gets. You’re here and there ain’t nothing out there but the dark.”
Welcome to The Sphere, a plot driven game that contains horror elements. When your characters waken in the city, the tech is futuristic but in a state of decay at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. You’re on Earth but don’t know when. The game runs on three alternating mechanics: Memories, Nightmares and a full plot event with one of the three happening every month.

Es War Einmal is a panfandom game set in an idyllic (and stereotypical) fairy tale kingdom where strange tales are common place, mothers wish nothing more for their children than for them to be spirited away to find their fortunes and "adventurer" is a legitimate profession. But the kingdom is being threatened by a terrible evil; the Thorns that have come from the Unknown Lands that are steadily devouring the land and all that stand in their way. Immune to all efforts that the natives of this nameless kingdom have put forth, the King has had no other choice but to call upon his most powerful Mage to summon heroes from another world to battle the Thorns and save the kingdom!
But the King, though well liked, is useless, the Powerful Mage is a young boy, and the locals are far more interested in gossip and sending the heroes out on more immediate concerns like getting those pesky forest monsters to stop being so loud in the night and getting cats down from trees to worry about those Thorns. After all, the Thorns grow slowly and there are far more important things to be attended to, like getting their daughter or son to have the hand of an all important hero for the ball.
It isn't as if they know about the epic battle of Order and Chaos that's raging around them. That would take far more awareness than they can be bothered to cultivate and is a task that falls squarely on the shoulders of the heroes, who have the burden of being the only sane men and women in a kingdom of fools.
A mix of farce and serious fantasy, Einmal is a game that balances lighthearted fun with a complex and rich (if often cliched and trope-ridden) world that's utterly open for the characters to explore. Players are encouraged to form their own plots, prod at the NPCs, discover plotholes and dig around to uncover the things hidden away just out of sight.

A Gentle Night | Soft Apocalypse | TDM Open
THE STORY
Mist swirls around you, the woman, and the altar that stands between the two of you. On the altar rests a chalice and a single, gleaming Jewel. The woman leans forward. Maybe it's the mist, but you think there is something inhuman about the sharp lines of her face.
"A wish offered with blood is a prayer to the Darkness," she says. Her voice, all midnight and velvet, echoes as though you stand in a cavern. "If you will bleed for me, for my people, and for the land that is dying, I will grant that wish. Agree, and I will help you find the Darkness in your soul."
She needs heroes to aide her, and she believes you are one such hero. Stay and help her, or go—but if you stay, she will take your dreams and bind them to reality. A gift, a thank you, to take home with you when your job is done.
Should you accept, she names you a Stranger, grants you a Jewel, and when you wake you are in her residence with the dark power of the Blood to aide you, but the decision is yours. You may assist the strange, eccentric Queen who claims to want to revitalize the land, or you may choose to throw in your lot with the two factions who want to squeeze the last drops of power from the world for themselves.
THE GAME
A Gentle Night is a soft apocalypse, dark fantasy jamjar set in the future of the Black Jewels Trilogy. Though summoned by the Queen of Hayll, characters will be able to choose to support her or one of two other factions, and in doing so will change the fate of the world.

But they had a useful idea: open the legendary school of magic, Diatu Magicademy, to the people from other worlds, the ‘Sundered’. There you can learn wizardry of your own before that bubbling magic in you boils over and causes great harm, among your fellow Sundered and the finest minds of magic in the Tenscore Kingdoms, while they try to get you home.

Brief and to the point, though not very elegant, this letter is given to all standard guests of Hotel Inferior. They are treated with respect during their stay. However, you are not the standard guest. You are staff. Your letter, found in your pocket, comes with an additional set of rules; specific and meant to be followed with the utmost care.
1. While on the premises, no fighting with or killing other staff.
2. No disrespectful words or actions allowed against Hotel staff.
3. No guns or any type of weapon permitted through the gate.
4. Membership must be paid for, full and in advance.
5. Prior but lapsed members will not be admitted.
6. No photography or video allowed.
7. No outside food or drink.
8. Absolutely no visitors.
9. If a member is found to have compromise the Hotel, membership will be revoked.
10. Hotel rules are final and non-negotiable.
Characters wake in the lobby of Hotel Inferior where they will ride an elevator to the 13th floor, the only button that will work, and go through a wrist-chip scan. Payment has somehow previously been made. Admittance into Hotel Inferior's 13th floor comes after accepting the rules. They'll be given their new identity, key, position, and are shown to their permanent, private room. A lovely night's rest and then it begins.
Hotel Inferior is a panfandom thriller game that focuses on isolation and builds on the uneasy feeling of suspense. The game will touch on psychological thriller and horror, mystery, revenge, captivity, obsession, and mind games with no mod added slice of life characteristics.
