FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened.

[rp you're offering for / rp type you'd wanna play in]: Anything, really! The characters I have in mind could fit into any setting but if I had to pick just one above others it would be grimdark/horror. (~~And smut because I'm shameless...~~)
[preferences]: - Dreamwidth based.
- No AU.
- Lenient AC. (On account of balancing DWRP with work)
- Newbie friendly. (Tumblr transplant!)
- Mandatory HMD a plus but not (heh) mandatory.
- Power loss isn't preferred but I can work with it. (Especially with the characters it wouldn't effect)
- TDM mandatory, as I'd like to have a go at getting my feet wet in the game setting proper.
- While castmates are, as expected, adored they're not a deal breaker. (Especially since some of these canons are obscure enough I'd be surprised if they existed...)
- SMUT GAME SPECIFIC: I'd prefer smut AC to be a mandatory thing, in like a 75/35 split, but like above it's not a dealbreaker. (I just figure if you're gonna join a smut game why wouldn't you smut y'know?)
- FOR ALL OFFERS: Give me a tl;dr blurb of what the game's general setting and pace are like as well as how easy it is to get CR. The latter isn't going to run me off if getting CR is a challenge/difficult, I just want to know what I'd be getting into is all!
- With the above said, looking for a game that's slow to medium paced. Can't handle a fast paced game with my work schedule unfortunately.
- As an extra note, all canon points are flexible!

I'd be interested in Peni over at

melodiesofeternity! It's a panfandom Final Fantasy-based adventure-ish slice of life-ish game...? I don't have any experience with other DW games to compare it to pace-wise, but it seems laid-back enough. Backtagging is encouraged, AC is easy enough that I don't have much trouble keeping up even when I have to set it down for like half the month. There is power loss, forcing characters to use the class-based Job system instead, but there's a process to get their original powers back through Custom Jobs. CR isn't hard at all!

There's a big apocalyptic event coming up soon, so one might want to wait until that's blown over, but apps open on the first of March so if you want you can get in soon! The latest TDM is here if you want to have a look!

For canonmates, the only one is the Spiderverse Miles I play. You could go for Spiderverse Peni if you want, but I'd welcome Comics Peni too! I'm always down for confusing multiverse scenanigans.

For Peni, could I suggest

deerington? It's a horror game set in an old-fashioned dream town, with a lot of mysteries surrounding it. It's not super grimdark, but I feel it still makes for good horror. Most of the events allow some form of opt-out, though there have been a few that affect the whole game. It's medium-paced, and I've found getting Cr fairly easy despite playing a fandom OC. Base AC is 30 points, but it's pretty easy to get, since every log comment from your character counts as 3 points. There's no mandatory HMD, but there is a TDM up the first of each month! With regards to canonmates, we have a Spiderverse Miles and Peter B already, as well.

populationyou. If you like grimdark horror, it'd be a great place for you because it's set in Silent Hill. If you aren't familiar with the Silent Hill series, it's a hell town that moves back and forth between an abandoned fog world and a nightmarish Otherworld where everything rots and rusts and terrible monsters roam everywhere trying to kill you. The town messes with people's guilt and traumas, though in a way where they can sometimes overcome them.

While fighting the monsters and reckoning with unstable spirits is a thing, the game also has elements of survival in that they have to find supplies to survive. It also has elements of puzzles and conspiracies around the cult still living in the town. Also character death is not the end and other characters actually have to do a ritual to bring dead PCs back to life or they're trapped in the nightmare world.

It's:

- DW based
- AC's pretty easy, with more emphasis on gaining potential bonuses with extra activity.
- It's got a very friendly playerbase. The mods themselves are new to modding and one only came back to dwrp after years away. The playerbase has been very good at communicating about any snags and snafus and the mods have been good at responding. It's a nice constructive atmosphere
- Some mild power nerfing but nothing huge, just stuff that makes characters a touch more vulnerable. Like Peter here doesn't have enough super strength to lift a car over his head but could still rip the metal off a vent or sewer grate.
- Pace was a little fast starting out but the players asked for events to be more spaced out so the mods are doing that and slowing it down. Should be about medium now. Fogtime and nightmare time are going to be two weeks each.
- It's been pretty easy to get CR. A few people had a rough time because they apped right before a nightmare period but the mods are making sure app rounds end while the fog period is still going now. There's some fun stuff where weird mixes of random characters are buddying up for little adventures.

I would love to see Peni! Any version of her. I just actually killed Peter here whoops. He was the first one to die in the game. But after he gets revived he'd take any little spiderlings under his wing and try to make sure they get through it okay.
