FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened.

For realz. I had company over tonight which was oddly fun but also I've inwardly been like GO AWAY SO I CAN WRITE THINGS LOL So I am stoked to be able to sit down and work on this rn ^^

Also hey I wanted to mention that I really love your idea of Connor taking on some domestic type tasks as means of making things even blurrier. I feel like it's awesome because like... on one hand machines are very task orientated and in that way he could be inclined to keep busy via like... laundry or tidying up or something. On the other hand, it also kind of displays care for Hank and his living space, so it's like... where is the line?

Also can you imagine Connor walking Sumo for Hank because I find myself a bit enamored with the thought LOL

That's not exactly what I was thinking when I said domestic things that might make Hank think romantically about him, I was more thinking the little things people end up doing for each other when they live together like, texting the other person to ask if they want anything from the store, little ways of interacting with someone you see every day at home that are on their own maybe not romantic but which Hank might associate with the time he and his wife were together. But it does make sense that Connor might start to do chores and stuff, like, that he'd need some kind of goal to fill the hole no longer being directed by CyberLife might leave in his life. It would be interesting if Connor was doing things like that as a way to display care for Hank and his living space because I don't see Hank being a fan of that - I sort of see Hank feeling skeevy if Connor started doing chores for him, especially if Connor also feels romantic feelings for Hank at the same time. He'd feel like he was conning Connor (pun not intended) into being like, a domestic android and doing all his shit for him. And yeah I can absolutely see Connor walking Sumo, he can get Sumo back into shape. I feel like both Connor and Sumo would like that.

Ah, I see! I like your idea of domestic also let us also include such things >:3 I find myself kind of fond of the whole... dubious space between things being very sweet and yet potentially feeling a bit unbalanced, re: Hank feeling skeevy about Connor helping out around the house and such. I enjoy that it begs the question of what's acceptable and what's not, and where does it matter that he's an android, and when does it matter that he's alive, that kind of thing.

Because like. Would Hank still feel skeevy about Connor helping out if he was actually human? So much gray area man LOL

Hm. I wonder how Hank would react to coming home and the place is clean, there's food for him that Connor picked up (obviously just for him because Connor doesn't eat), and Sumo has been walked and brushed. Because people did use androids for that stuff, but it's not really about that for Connor? Not that he could easily define what it is about; so many interlacing factors.

Your Hank amuses the hell out of me BTW, he's SO spot on. 'All he had to do was not say that' XDDD OMG, I laughed so hard.

Yeah exactly that sounds like a lot of fun to play when it comes to them, because I don't think he'd mind so much if he had a human boyfriend who cleaned up after him. Or, it would take him longer to get annoyed by it, and then for slightly different reasons. And it'd be hard for him to think about it from Connor's point of view, especially since I feel like the kind of people Hank's probably usually gravitated toward romantically are probably a lot more casual about it than Connor might be.

IT IS FUN <3 I hope my driving is also decent **squint** Connor is a bit different than my other muses, plus the whole line of... what's human and what's mechanical, because like, there are some pretty damn meticulous humans in the world-- the behavior probably feels different coming from an android than a human. But then you gotta get into like... what makes a human very particular or observant or curious, vs what makes an android all of those things? I feel like Hank might need some weed to straighten all this out, I know I do xDDD LOL

Yeah those are some interesting questions - because Connor is clearly different from the other androids from the start, so is that just equivalent to humans having different personalities or is his programming different in a way that doesn't work like human thought? Which is conveniently something Connor's trying to work out at the point he's at in our thread too.

YUP for sure! Personally, I think it's a little more like humans having different personalities-- some folks are pretty freaking weird yo :P Plus like... I have OCD and my brain works like a machine sometimes. But... what does that even MEAN, you know? I'm human and I have no freaking idea xD How would we even begin to go about defining what human thought is?

Yeah that's the fun of speculative fiction, you can just decide for yourself how humanlike a literal machine brain would be and what humanlike even means. And yeah probably :P

Gotta agree with ya there! If we have humans whose minds are very machine like, can we not say that a machine could have a mind very much like a human?

HEY I had this absolutely awful thought of what if somehow Hank and Connor wind up investigating... something... because probably there would still be a need, even on small a small scale, for some kind of... justice oriented protective service. Long story short they gotta interrogate this guy, but he's always in his place, which they can get into if they're disguised as guests to his party...

Basically an excuse to make them dress up. I had thought some kind of kink theme party would be even worse LOL ^^;;;

This would be after Connor's upgrades also so... in case you wanted to see some new features? xD;;

That sounds like it could be something to do after the other stuff we have planned, yeah. We can see where they’re at after Hank gets rescued and all that and then we can figure out how we want to do that.

We'll think of something, it could be as simple as 'Hank convinced him to go into some hiding spot first and then got caught' or 'Hank went to distract them so Markus could get away'.

I enjoy the idea of Hank going to distract them, seems like something he would do.

So maybe Markus did make it to the negotiation because Hank distracted the assbutts trying to capture them or something? Sorry if I'm getting too much ahead of myself; I'm just having lots of fun :)

Idk I think Markus would have to be REALLY pressured to get there on time or else for him to just keep on traveling when Hank was in trouble. He’d want to make sure he got backup for him or something I think.

Hence contacting Connor, maybe? They could already be late for the conference because of other stuff?

Erm, if ya don't mind, I have a hypothetical for you? I'm totally cool meshing/swapping/changing cannons with this timeline because OMG so many options but.

If it played out that when Hank drew a gun at Connor and asked if he was afraid to die, and Connor expressed fear, how might that influence Hank's feelings if it turns out, in the next scene, that Connor ends up shielding him from those bullets?

I would like the headcannon please =D we definitely don't have to have had it play out that way if you don't like that idea, of course :)

This might be me not being as familiar with the different paths of the game as I'd like to be but I don't imagine it would change much - that's one of the things that could have happened in canon too right? Like Hank would be freaked by it no matter what.

Yeah totally. I had just wondered if Connor expressing fear of death could slightly influence Hank's reaction to Connor dying, and then coming back the next day. I mean, obviously that's still very freaky, but I think it's slightly different then say... if Connor had told Hank he wasn't afraid to die

Connor's answer I was specifically thinking of was the 'there would be nothing' option, which isn't the same as saying he was afraid to die but I feel implies it. But yeah I'm not sure because we don't see much of Hank's reaction, but I don't imagine it would change the nature of it because he was already pretty D: about it.

Ah, I see. Usually I have Connor question Hank's anger in that instance because he doesn't know how to answer Hank's question at that point. But yeah, that makes sense =)
