ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. Hello! I very recently started playing from the legendarium, and I'm interested in playing around some more, in psls or memes. Currently, somehow, I just have Sauron here (though that may change at any moment). I enjoy playing from earlier canon points (and fake nice Sauron), but I'm flexible. I enjoy crosscanon/crossmedia, too.

I would like to explore the Tolkien universe, but I am also more than willing to leave it. I'm open to completely canon-based scenarios, as well as unlikely AUs of all kinds, comedy, villain team-ups, villain rivalries, all kinds of villainy. Darker themes welcome, obviously. I love gen. I'm open to shipping in some scenarios, but less interested in smut. Short term and longer term threads are both loved. Full disclosure: I do tend to be on the slower due to my schedule; if you are also slower, I will completely understand.

Hmm. I got involved by finding a game which had a decent-sized cast, but you're looking for PSLs and I'm not sure any game but Fade Rift currently has a Tolkien cast anyway. BG knows people that I don't, though, and might have a better idea of who else is out there.

I don't think I have time at the moment to put him in a game, or I might consider joining one, with or without a cast. Memes or PSLs seemed like they'd be a good way to test the waters.

Hello! I'm BG and I play Eonwe here and a LOT of other Tolkiens so I'm not even going to list them all. Basically if there's someone you're interested in playing off of, tell me and I'll tell you if I currently play them, have played them, or am willing to give them a shot. XD

PSL wise, I'm without WiFi at home for about another week, but can access at work in the meantime. I'm also not the fastest tagger, as Mary can sadly attest, but love PSLs of all kinds too.

I didn't start out with anyone in particular in mind, so if there's someone you'd like to thread with Mairon, I'm sure I'd be delighted. I do like the idea of playing him from earlier canon points, when he is at least pretending to be amiable.

I have a lot of ideas. Including something far in the past, back in Valinor. Or something that occurs well after the end of the First Age, maybe even after the end of the Third Age. My mind's in a muddle tonight, but I'll keep thinking about it.

I do like both time periods, but I'm currently leaning a little toward something earlier. I do like the idea of playing Mairon pretending to be pleasant/being manipulative, but I am also very flexible. Maybe something to do with crafting, possibly before Melkor's release? I am interested in exploring the period when he's skulking around while Melkor is imprisoned.

Although, now that I think of it, after Melkor's release—when he's pretending to be a decent person who can get along with the elves—could also be an interesting point.

These are just my ideas so far—if you think of something else, I will probably be up for that as well!

Sorry about the delay! I'd go for either of those ideas -- Mairon and Curufn having a conversation in Valinor while Melkor is imprisoned, or after his release. You want to decide which?

I'm very flexible, I just wanted to try playing around with various things, for a start. I'm up for museboxing or memes. Glancing at bakerstreet, I do like the Tower meme, which feels fitting. I put him on it, in case you'd like to do that one.
