November EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be frozen and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. — getting to kingdom hearts ... bbs canonmates or someone willing to thread out sora + roxas shenanigans with me, which is a long shot, i know.
— and for hunter x hunter and monster, anyone works, anything goes! i'll welcome it all.
— when it comes to cross-canon, characters that share a commonality (e.g. akise aru from mirai nikki + kaworu nagisa from evangelion, 707 from mystic messenger + noiz from dramatical murder, and so on) would be so neat?! this is the most self-indulgent option, so i'm not holding out on it.

— besides what i've listed above, cross-canon and other canonmates are more than a-ok!
— open to any configuration of gen (fluff, angst, what-have-you) or shipping (m/m, m/f, f/f, etc). sfw + nsfw situations both fine with me (i'm 18+).
— specify what you want and i'll do my best to match style re: prose/action brackets, backdating/boomeranging, and the like.

i actually didn't have anything in mind, i was more interested in whatever it was you wanted to do! like, if anything, i'd have fun with some canonverse stuff where roxas (and potentially naminé and xion) get their own chances to exist separate from sora and kairi and exploring their relationship from there? but i'm also 100% down with au stuff like having them be siblings/cousins and getting more up to the shenanigans you mentioned in your top level!

tbh, my idea of shenanigans between roxas and sora is the same whether it's canon/au: a thinly-veiled excuse for some terrible snarking .... like literally just them bantering and maybe arguing? with tensions ramping up to the point where they're pulling pranks on each other (somehow) and possibly getting into a bit of a (fist)fight too, but ultimately reconciling after all the hang-ups they must've had with each other! mostly because one of my biggest gripes about the series is that they never shared a good talk about how they felt about the situation post-kh2 to date besides what was revealed in kh:ddd, which i found a bit lacking. for this thread, i was hoping for canon divergence where roxas eventually gets self-realized as his own person with his own body and/or they have this emotional confrontation in .... sora's heart again, i'm dying ......., but i wouldn't mind doing something au in the same vein where they bicker over similar circumstances either! the brothers/cousins thing sounds more than fine with me.
of course, i can list some more suggestions if neither of those prompts ping you! i don't want to force ideas on you so one-sidedly, lmao. if you're still interested, do you want to go meme or psl for this? i'm down with both! and i can definitely elaborate further on what i've already written if needed.

oh man, i've always wanted to play something like that out! sora and roxas's relationship has always been at the top of my "nomura please give us this" list, but there have been so many missed opportunities to do so in canon... like the closest we ever got was the roxas fight in kh2fm and the brief scene in 3d? (spoilers my username on lj used to be roxora at one point lmfao...) i hardly ever get to play out sora's serious side so i'm 100% on board with all that! i'm fine with either in regards to meme vs. psl, but just for simplicity/not having to wait for an appropriate meme to show up, it'd probably be simpler to just psl imo!

regrettably, i'm mostly canon-blind to dragon ball since i've only watched eps in passing back when they aired in early 2000s-era toonami, but i hope this doesn't deter you. is there any idea you're leaning more toward than the other? as far as memes go, if you dropped a toplevel here for ex, i'd be more than happy to tag you with a starter there!

No problem if you haven't seen much of Dragon Ball - if you know basically any shonen manga/anime main character from the past twenty to thirty years, you've probably got a good idea of what Goku's like (maybe not all of them, but a lot are heavily based on him, like Gon, Luffy, and Naruto).
Coincidentally, I already had a top-level set up here! As for ideas, training seems like a natural fit, or maybe cooking could work. (I don't know about Gon, but Goku would likely be a horrible cook if it doesn't involve cooking something over an open fire - seems like he relies on Chi-Chi for that sort of thing)

also, don't quote me on this, but togashi (hxh's mangaka) is a huge fan of toriyama's works (in particular dragon ball), and allegedly owns and displays volumes of it in his own studio. i can definitely see the influence dragon ball has had on hxh too, especially in later arcs, so i don't doubt you in the slightest.
and gotcha! i couldn't decide between one or the other, so i tried doing a bit of both. let me know if the starter needs any changing and i'll get right on that!

The starter's fine - sorry I haven't responded to it yet, but I decided to read some of Hunter x Hunter. I skipped past what's already aired on Toonami, and I'm already past chapter 100 (Kurapika's kidnapped the leader of the Phantom Troupe). I think I might be addicted.
