FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

[who I play]: Add & Clamor from Elsword but this is irrelevant, consider this an ad on behalf of the game as a whole
[wanted]: Detective/investigative-types! Doesn't matter if it's something popular or obscure, but some example canons that come to mind would be Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, any of the billions of Sherlock Holmes variants, Death Note, Scooby Doo... or just canons that have detective-types in them, even if the story isn't focused on mystery/crime! You get the idea. Bonus points if they're hot.

[why]: Do you like solving crimes and mysteries? Do you like MURDERS? Do you want some spooky horror mixed in with your murder mysteries? Have you always wanted to play in a murdergame, but don't have time for the breakneck pace? Do you wanna like... solve a murder, maybe 9 murders, but over a week or a month-ish instead of having to dedicate your whole weekend to it? Do you maybe want to solve our 9 murders?? Do you want all of that, but also in a high school for some reason?

If the answer is yes, then Yogen might be the game for you! We have so many murders. We actually might have too many, there's apparently a waiting list now to commit murder (sidenote: do you want to commit murders?? you are also welcome here). Every good murder mystery needs characters to solve said mystery, though, and we're starting to run a bit low on detective-y characters with the IC brains to actually put 2 and 2 together. Seriously, we have Komaeda Danganronpa leading some of these investigations....... that's no good.

Does the game sound like your jam, but you don't think you're actually very good at mystery-solving? Fret not!! Investigations are always a joint effort, and everyone is pretty great with sharing info when there's crimes afoot. Plenty of us in the game play dumbasses or otherwise can't ICly contribute to investigations all the time, so sometimes all you need is to be the one to represent the game's collective braincell(s)! And honestly, no matter how dumb you think you are, trust me when I say everyone feels the same and we all bumble into the answers eventually lol... it's fine, we're all doing our best.

AC is 20 comments across 1~3 threads or 1 open toplevel or log + 10 comments in a different thread.
The game is small but fast, we have a 30 player cap but the game is VERY active. That said, everyone is also pretty great with backtagging and it's not like everyone is boomeranging to finish a thread within a day or two—if you only tend to tag every few days or even once a week, you may still find the game quite comfortable! (personally I've always thought of myself as a slow-games-only person but then I ended up here, so.)
No required humanization. We've had robots, dogs, Pokemon, and sentient magic weapons!
No character minimum age limit, though justification may be requested for characters under 10.
Powers are nerfed on arrival, but you can start requesting power regains after your first month in the game.
OCs are allowed! Please bring us your OCs, we love OCs here.
This is a horror/mystery game, so obviously if you're not into horror, death, dark themes, etc., it probably won't be a good fit! Not that it's always grim and depressing, we have plenty of silly nonsense in between to break that stuff up, but characters that are better at handling such tense situations would obviously have a much easier time coping with the murders and all that.
Apps are always open, and when the game is at its player cap they go into a queue. SO, even if the cap is filled, you can app at any time! At the time of this post we're sitting at 24/30 players though so there's plenty of space for fresh meat. You can also play up to 2 characters!
On the OOC communication end of things, Discord is recommended since most of the plot/investigative discussions go on there, but many players also do their plotting over plurk or don't use either! also we mostly just shitpost in discord 90% of the time anyway so really all you're missing is the 10% of the time when Things are actively happening, it's just easier if everyone can be in the same OOC room so to speak.

I just want to say this game looks *excellent* and I would absolutely be all over it if I thought I could make that AC.

It's pretty great!! (i am clearly not biased haha)

The AC is pretty intimidating, ngl. Depending on the sort of speeds you're used to tho, it might not be as bad as it looks at a glance. It's basically just one 10-comment thread and a toplevel/open post, and mingle-style logs are VERY popular over here, so the toplevel part is super easy. We usually have at least a couple player-run mingles each month that vary from parties/games to info-sharing meetings, plus the mod event log at the start of the month. Network stuff is also weighed the same as logs. We also got a few dedicated boomerangers who are usually pretty eager to help people out near the end of the month, and bonus AC being 5 comments minimum means that most threads will get at least that far.

SO I'm not gonna say "just go for it anyway!!!!" if you're already juggling a lot of games/characters or if you're sure you wouldn't be able to keep up, but if it's a more on-the-fence kind of AC issue I'd say look around a bit and maybe give it a shot anyway. Worst case scenario you just drop and that's that! Nothing ventured nothing gained or what have you. I was in a similar spot when I joined, but somehow I'm still here and thriving so who knows, maybe it'd be the same for you as well.

Oh god what is that navigation page D: White on white, whose idea was that? I clicked on it and thought there was nothing there and had to highlight it... instant turnoff. IDK if it's an aesthetics thing, but legibility > aesthetics.

Not a mod, but it looks like this to me. It's an image for the bg, so it might be a browser issue? idk, first I've heard of someone having issues with it but I can pass that feedback along if you'd like.

Sort of!! We haven't had a fresh TDM in quite awhile (rip), but we do still have folks tracking/using the last one. There's actually a few new TLs from this month if you scroll to the bottom of page 2! but yeah, I have that post tracked for TLs as well so I can keep an eye out for you and let everyone know if you do decide to pop in o/

[who I play]: Edelgard von Hresvelg (Fire Emblem: Three Houses)
[wanted/why]: characters from similar settings/settings with similar themes? asoiaf and ffxiv and dragon age? characters with similar trauma regardless of canon setting? I'm perfectly cool with more modern cr! Edelgard was essentially experimented on as a child and turned into a weapon; one of eleven siblings, she's the only one who made it through more or less intact. at 23 (24 in erku now), she's an emperor who started a war to dismantle the church and the nobility. she can be an interesting dynamic for royalty and/or people who can identify with her moral grays.

even though Edelgard has entered a relationship and will require aphro or event-related influences for more casual kink bingo I'm still interested in casual kink bingo partners/characters she can have meaningful cr with and would prefer ages 20+. Edelgard'll always be kinda bossy but bonus points if you're up for switchy dynamics in smut!

[game info]:

erku is a kink bingo game. your character is brought to a nameless city on a mysterious island and their intimacy brings life back to the island. the game's always kind of had sandbox energy but it's recently introduced simulated setting changes. I can't say what all simulations will be like but each is supposed to last for a few months, possibly providing new short-term plot opportunities within that setting. the simulations are happening at the same time as normal island life rather than replacing it, and our characters aren't fully AUed into the new simulation setting (or at least not this time around?). the current simulation has a vampire vs werewolf vs witch conflict brewing. according to the mods, events will be focused on the current simulation setting while TDMs and our once-a-month mingles will focus on non-simulation island life.

here's the FAQ. TDMs go up monthly on the 18th and applications open on the 22nd. historically mod responses to questions can be a bit slow. the game is roughly medium-paced as a whole, I think, but that really depends on you and your cr.
