FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

revivalprojectooc to you. Our game ad is up here and I'm also happy to answer any questions given I'm a game mod.

We're a slow to medium paced game that likes to try and balance SOL, Plot, and Exploration on a ruined alien planet with lots of mysteries around it. Backtags are something a lot of our players appreciate, and we're also really happy for new players and characters to join. We do have some months where we allow players to do the core driving of activities, which can lead to some really interesting adventures, but they can also be more chill months, mostly depending on what a player is seeking from them.

If you go through the links to look at stuff, I would note that our AC will be changing in August, and since new characters/players only have to check in during their first month, the AC that would apply if you came to be part of our community would be either one post/TL a month, or ten comments in a month over at most two threads.

And, you know, bonus is Reeve here. He's been in the game a good long while, along with a new version of Cait Sith (but just the doll). He comes from post-Dirge of Cerberus and with a tiny AU variation that might appreciate seeing Reno a bit more than Reeve from earlier in the OG series might.

(And if Reno isn't tempted, check out our cast list, we've got some MCU and Marvel Comics people that might help inspire an MCU muse of yours)

Oh, hey. I was just reading that ad... aha.

I was afraid it might be too much SoL but! most games have a bit of that anyway. Downtime is good for the character. Though if there's less of that than I feared upon first read I could definitely give it a look for a Turk...or a certain red kitty.

I will give it a more thorough look! And see if there's a test-drive to post to. :3

The most important thing to us as Mods at TRP is that players be comfortable with what we can offer. So if you look deeper and it doesn't look right for you, I understand. And I would even have a different game suggestion to consider as well, provided you might enjoy the idea of a character gaining new powers... and being around a certain silver haired Soldier that we have been graced with in that game.

But tell me more about gaining new powers in this other game. This sounds intriguing. :3a

Metaheroes.

It's a game inspired by comics, and it's great. Yes, it's invite only, but if you TDM and enjoy it, there are often invites floating out there. I have less of a pitch for that one to throw out, but it's tons of fun, has monthly events or player plot events, and characters that don't inherently have powers get some on arrival, along with the choice to join the heroes, villains, or go be unaffiliated. It's pretty fun. AC is a 'report on what character was doing' style.

Ohh, I see I see. I've heard of it but not looked at it yet. I see some appeals in the ac and power gain aspects. I will look at that one, too. Thank you.

Hey, so I need to ding you for copypasta. It's a little borderline but still not as focused on the individual player and character as it needs to be.

While wanting other FF characters when you play one is definitely something to advertise as a draw, not all of your ads are personalized to the character you're trying to promote to.

Please just be a little more mindful of this. You might want to go "Character X would be a great fit because the setting has Y going on." Like for example, if a character does a rebellion thing in their canon, pointing out the rebellion-based aspects of a game premise. That kind of thing.

Not everyone apps for casts so outside of the "Find a Castmate" section, there needs to be a bit more emphasis on what the game really offers the individual character.

hi, hello! this is kind of late (sorry!) and we just closed apps (...sorryx2!) but i saw this and just had to run. i think

jigokucho would be a great fit for you. i'm logged into aerith here, and i would adore reno, i think the setting would be incredible for him, but the game is described as "yakuza with youkai", and we do have a yakuza cast in game. i'm not familiar with the games, but i love what i've seen of ichiban from fandom osmosis and would love to see him around. he's a blast, and i think he'd fit into the setting perfectly.

the game is faction based with crime drama as a primary genre, though how you engage with it is totally up to you. you can play with faction divide and pvp as much as you like in game, everyone kind of sets their boundaries and goes from there so there's really no huge issue either side of the fence. right now, we have aerith, cloud and sephiroth in game. while cloud and aerith are from remake, sephiroth is from acc. all three of us have been having a blast playing with timeline shenanigans, and we'd love more. also, game events have been wild: the first one was fall out from an NPC death, and the second one turned the whole city into silent hill for about a month, basically.

the only thing about jiggy is that is a bit big. i've never found it unwieldy since the game is so backtag friendly— i have no problem keeping up. ac is only 8 comments, and then any threads that hit ac requirements also qualify towards points for regains. characters can get new powers, regain old ones... you can get really creative. the mods are very encouraging of creativity! since apping, i've felt they've encouraged me to explore the game with as much creativity as i like! for example, i've recently gotten aerith here the ability to create flowers at will.

if you have any questions about the game i'd be happy to answer them! tdm isn't for a hot minute so if you'd like to meme or psl or something, i'd be totally down! 💗

Jigokucho has caught my eye a time or two! Back at the beginning there were reason why I didn't join but... I definitely keep side-eying it so now might be a good time to give it a shot! I love the idea of yakuza and youkai kekeke.

I'm going to admit I have been all Yakuza brain lately so it's appealing to drag one of them to a game... but an Aerith! And others! With time shenanigans! Very tempting to join such a lovely cast.

Big does sound intimidating, and I'm currently already in another game, but with that AC maybe I could scrape by. Especially in backtag heaven because ahaha that's the name of my game sob. Backtags forever.

And adding powers! Also tempting! That could be interesting... Hmm.

I'll have to keep an eye out for next tdm, but until then I'd absolutely be down for some psl/meme or whatever. ^ω^
