July EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. [game info]: Sinfluencers is a game where your character signs a contract for something they really want, and in return, they have to become an influencer for the multiverse! Slightly OnlyFans (though cameras by default cut out during the actual act of sex unless you want otherwise), slightly Instagram, all hilarious and super flexible with an amazing, helpful, engaged mod! Try to get your character up to Platinum Tier, and on the way, gain sponsors, drum up engagement, have some sex, and get famous!
Sin's AC is 20 comments across no more than 4 threads, but any type of in-game thread, network or otherwise, can be used for that. The game is, by design, heavily network-based, so it's easy to rack up the comments (and extra for gacha-style AC rewards!). In order to advance through the tiers, you need to submit smut threads, but they don't have to be completed to count -- just have at least 5 comments from you! There is no smut requirement for regular AC, though.
Apps are bi-monthly and reserves open on August 18th, with apps on the 23rd. Come play on the new TDM when it goes up on August 11th!

I prefer Radley's dub name, but I am totally willing to use Japanese names for everyone else if the player prefers! I also have it that "Ramon" is both Radley's middle name (one of them, anyway) and his last name, as I like that name a lot too. He will answer to Ramon as well as Radley!
[game info]: Characters are brought to a mysterious realm to achieve their true potential through monthly trials. They're sorted into Roles: Legend (generally good traits), Myth (generally bad traits), and Familiars (neutral-ish), and characters can get ICly bewildered or angry by what Role they're sorted into. (Players choose the Role, so no surprises for them!) A lot of the ideas seem to revolve around how no one is all good or all bad, so it's really interesting and leaves a lot of wiggle room to play around with all kinds of character development!

There are quotas and contracts, but a/c can just be regular interactions from a variety of different sources (network post, open log, comments, tdm replies). There are monthly events that go on, plus regular interactions of trying to navigate the dynamics of the game. While a sex game, the ac proofs do not need to be.

[game info]: From the game profile: Singillatim is a Post-Apocalyptic Survival game heavily inspired by Hinterland Studios' The Long Dark, set on an alternate earth on remote island territory cut off from the mainland and rest of the world, in the vague, furthest reaches of Northern Canada.
Gameplay is log-oriented + plot-focused, and there isn't a texting network, but if you prefer getting right into the meat of things then this game is great for it! Characters can gain powers through Aurora Feats. Pacing is reasonably moderate and monthly AC is 5 log comments. There's a character cap (currently at 45/60) and apps are currently closed but hopefully will be soon!

For our current Persona cast, we have Ren, Sumire, Minato, and Shinji as Familiars with Akechi as a Legend and Ryuji as a Myth.
Events are bi-monthly! They are super varied in genre and always offer multiple options for prompts depending on how deep you really want to get into them. Even if the events lean more dark than normal, there’s usually still a fairly chill prompt, just so everyone can participate. [game info]: Etraya takes place in a temporary city at the center of the collapsing multiverse, where characters are brought by the mysterious Echo to prove that their universe is one of the few that should be saved from destruction. To assist in Echo's judgment, characters are regularly deployed on missions "meant to test their courage, strength of will, capability for love, compassion, desire, and other traits." Only those deemed worthy will have their universes spared from the coming calamity.
There are no AC requirements, though activity logs can be exchanged for points which can purchase in-game rewards. The current TDM is here.

[game info]: There's a couple of ads for this game in this section already, so I'm not going to get too in-depth for it, but generally: Sinfluencers is a sex-game based on social media influencers. It's not all smut all the time, thankfully, so there's plenty of room for other types of interactions and plots! The players are a great lot so far, and the mod is absolutely incredible and very engaged. AC is reasonable, and even though the game is moving along at a pretty quick clip, there's no pressure to keep up with everything or you'll miss something important.

[game info]: As others in this thread have summed up before me, Sinfluencers is a game about becoming influencers via a Youtube/Only Fans-like setup (you can be sexy, crafty, silly, serious, whatever you think would work for your character!) and completing a contract your character signs up for prior to entering the game.
Sexy stuff is encouraged but not mandatory (tho it is a sex game, FTB is allowed if that's your pref), shenanigans are everywhere, and alliances are key to gaining a bigger audience, which gets your character more in-game perks and closer to their end goal. So, not completely unlike Westeros in some ways...
Learning about technology and the network is handwaved with educational classes your character is given upon arrival, but Sansa can totally help other people from her world manage that learning curve if wanted ✨
Activity check is 20 comments across 4 threads and since it's network heavy, it should be pretty easy to make that! There's also nothing stopping you from making that through logs, as well!
This game is setting itself up to be very lucrative for character-driven plots and the playerbase is incredibly creative, funny, and active! The Mod has been amazingly helpful and open to all sorts of ideas, while encouraging plenty of others! I would absolutely love to have some castmates here to do all the things with and if some want to play The Game here, I would love to see it 👑

[game info]: Pumpkin Hollow is a horror/comedy/SoL/mystery game about a cursed island where death is impossible, residents are trapped, gods and demons are battling for control, and everyone has secrets. The setting itself is Victorian Gothic in a fantasy world. Its premise makes it fantastic for characters who died, though there's also plenty of ways to make your character fit the premise if they don't have a canonical death/near death experience, and there's plenty of opportunities to get in on the lore and help solve the mystery or change the environment. Medium-to-fast pace, but very backtag friendly and check-in AC with activity being useable for bonuses. The latest TDM is here, with plenty of stuff to do!
The TL;DR on Ruby herself is that she's from episode 8 of V9, on top of a kinda intense CRAU history that means she's down an eye but up a bunch of character development, which puts her in a strange place mentally that she's working her way through. It's easier to explain this and what other characters may know about her friends from home outside of the ad, but there's a bunch of potential CR between the wider game cast and RWBY folks that I'd love to see develop.

I joined the game in May and Pucci's player joined in June, and it's been an absolute blast so far! AC is pretty reasonable (two of these in any combo: an open network or log post, 5 log style comments, 10 network comments, or 15 private inbox comments), as is the pace! Apps aren't open yet, but they will be soon. The TDM is currently up and can be found here!
