July EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be frozen and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. PREFERENCES:
I’m looking for some kind of PSLs, long-term or short, either built off of memes or in museboxes. I absolutely adore AUs and what-ifs, playing around with moments in canon or moments that happened off-screen in canon, adventures, slow-burn ships. Just about everything. I love seeing how characters get on.
Stuff and things, basically.
FOR LAVELLAN
➤ Ships: All the ships? But especially Lavellan/Cullen and Lavellan/Solas. There’s a lot to work with in canon and I would love to play around with both.
➤ Gen: EVERYTHING. There are so many moments to play around with, in between the moments we see and play in the game; the aftermath. Her relationships with her companions and advisors. ESPECIALLY DORIAN. I fucking adore their friendship. Romance or no I just would love to explore character relationships.
➤ Cross-Canon: Could be fun to toss her at people from other canons and see how they get on. Cross folks into her canon. Or toss her into other canons. That would be fun, too.
➤ Timeline: Post-game or during, or BOTH. Both is always good.
FOR JESSE
➤ Ships: Jesse/Wally, Jesse/Cisco, Jesse/Barry; I would love to see how romance would develop with other characters, pretty much.
➤ Gen: EVERYTHING. BUT ESPECIALLY HARRY. Wells family times are some of my favourite things. I would love to play around with the sort of PLANS Savitar had for Jesse. And what happened when she wasn’t around. Play around with what might have happened had she BEEN around.
I wish she would have come back for the season finale, damn it.Also playing around with what would have happened had Wellsobard raised an E1!version of Jesse.➤ Cross-Canon: I would love to toss Jesse at just about anybody and into just about any verse. See what happens. But especially a James Olsen from Supergirl. I think they could be fantastic together. Also folks from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
➤ Timeline: I can go pre-speedster powers or post-speedster powers.
FOR FLEMETH
➤ Gen: I mostly just want to explore her relationship Solas. And Morrigan, maybe. I would love to explore shit pre-banishment of the Evanuris. And, you know, her murder.
➤ Timeline: Current-ish. Pre-murder and banishment would be fun, too. All hypothetical, obviously, but that's the fun of RP
FOR ROSALIE
➤ Gen: I would love to explore Rutherford family things. And I would love for her to meet her brother's co-workers.
➤ Ships: It would be fun to do shippy things with her. Just because of the whole being Cullen's youngest sister thing. It would be HILARIOUS.
➤ Timeline: During the games, after. It's pretty open.
FOR SIRI
➤ Ships: Siri/Obi-Wan, Siri/Obi-Wan/Quinlan
➤ Gen: EVERYTHING. Scenes during EU canon, AUs where she didn’t die and survived to see all the shit that happened. Time travelly stuff where they end up in original trilogy timeline, or Rogue One or The Force Awakens. I would especially love Rogue One folks to thread with.
➤ Cross-Canon: I would love to drop her into different universes, or drop other characters into hers. Or some combination of the two. Anything shippy will take hella work and be incredibly slow burn. Because Jedi.
And in love with Obi-Wan.➤ Timeline: ANYTHING. During the youngling years, Padawan years, or her time undercover, or afterwards, once she returned. Original trilogy years, or The Force Awakens. Pretty much down for anything.
FOR PAIGE
➤ Ships: Paige/Derek, obviously but it doesn’t need to be shippy at all, either.
➤ Gen: I would love to play around with AUs where she survived the bite and became a werewolf, or was immune and didn’t become a werewolf but didn’t die, either. Or maybe she’s still the age she was somehow and still shows up in show canon. There are a lot of possibilities to play around with.
➤ Timeline: Its pretty open considering she’s already dead by the time the show starts.

Is there a particular cannon point you like to play Ares from? I'm not sure how familiar you are with Bioshock Infinite, but I have the Post Burial at Sea version. Which I think could play really well off Ares. She's not necessarily a hand to hand fighter ( though she can throw a punch) but she's a dangerous woman in a few different ways. Powers and proficiency with different weapons, and at this point she's killed *cough* quite a few people. Three of those murders out of sheer rage, I should add.
Also, did you have a setting in mind? I thought setting it in Ares' world would be cool, but I'm flexible =D

I can work with either setting, but I do sort of love fictional fantasty!ancient Greece, so I would absolutely be down for setting it there.

You don't really need to fill yourself in too much-- Ares probably wouldn't know too much about her anyway, so you could kind of pick it up as he does. But totally go scope her out of ya feel so inclined, she's a really cool character.
Short version: used to be quite sweet and innocent, but through a whole bunch of crap (including 6 months of torture) she ended up kind of dark, and sort of killed a lot of people. She died to make up for something terrible she did, so she's not all dark/ all light. SOUND LIKE ANYONE?
She also kind of toes that blurry line of killing in self defence/ killing out of rage. A bunch of people try to kill her so she ends up kind of weaponizing herself, and taking down a lot of people.
YES I am totally down for fictional fantasy ancient greece! Bioshock kind of provides a nice way to mash up cannons; The Lutece Device rips holes in time and space-- plus the game has a whole theme about death and rebirth in water, and Liz died in a place that would have been flooded...
So I usually just have her wash up on whatever beach because of a malfunctioning Lutece device that went haywire just after she died. Then oops look at that, you're in Greece xD;; If that sounds alright with you, we can go with something like that!
That could be a place to start even, OR I was thinking maybe there could be some kind of fight so Ares could see Liz's ability to kick ass. She can deal a lot of damage but she cannot take a hit, so if he was curious about her maybe it would incline him to intervene or something. She has some pretty interesting abilities she could show in a fight: invisibility, mind control, ice powers, a shield that would catch arrows (bullets) in mid air and dissolve them. Not to mention she's wicked with a crossbow.
