ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." - Crosscanon. It's easily my favorite thing about casting nets in panfandom spaces. AUs, world-mashing, moving one character to the other's universe, etc, I've yet to encounter something so outlandish I couldn't be sold on it with potential for interesting cr. Pretty much every character listed has one or ten white whale crossover scenarios I'd like, tbh.

Some of my favorite stuff includes darker lines (usually the more twisted something is the better), apocalyptic settings, the occasional badass fight scene, angst (so much angst), fluff, star-crossed love, love triangles, soulmate-y things. Most stuff is my favorite stuff. Castmates and cross canon are both A+.

[preferences]:
I love to brainstorm! I'd prefer journal threading, and love incorporating things like texts, emails, etc., however, I also use GDocs. I do prefer long-term PSLs with lots of character development over one-shots. Flashback scenes are <3. Shipping is <3. Angst is <3. I'm also always up for pulling in other characters as NPCs to supplement the story we're creating.

I prefer third person, past tense writing, but I can adapt to a different style. I tend to match whoever I'm writing with regarding length, though I'm a big fan of tags that consist of at least a couple of paragraphs. More is fine, less is fine, I'm most concerned with your tag getting across what you need to write for your character. I love tags that include not just dialogue or actions, but your character's thought process, their inner workings, that sort of thing. If I'm writing with your character, it's because they're interesting to me, so the more I get to read about them the better.

I'm perfectly okay with writing smut, as long as it suits the characters and it's not just simply PWP. However, there are a handful of things that are hard nos for me: anything involving kids, anything involving animals, vomit (I mean, if your character has the flu, that's not what I'm talking about... I think you get it), urine, feces, vore.

For everything else, 9 times out of 10 I'm going to be okay with whatever. When in doubt, leave me a message and I'll be honest if there's an issue.

• I am mostly looking for long-term, plot-heavy CR of all kinds. For shippy/smutty stuff I vastly prefer slow burn scenarios, but I'm cool with hitting the ground running otherwise!
• My preferences don't run much deeper than that, honestly. I'm open to most things! Figuring out should-be impossible scenarios is my jam.
• I'd also love to do more conversation-heavy, introspective threads with minimal buildup. Cornelia's well-versed in matters of war, politics, nobility, and family conflicts but I don't mind threading out conversations on topics that are outside of her realm of experience.
• AUs, OUs, world merging, and jamjars are all fine as far as setting goes.

Dragon Age & asoiaf/GoT seeking canon & cross

For Morrigan: GoT characters, Witcher characters, superheroes, elves, shapeshifters, Castlevania characters, canonmates, etc. I kinda think it'd fun to ship her with a Netflix Matt Murdock. It'd be complicated but he's a type she's fun to play off: smart and brave but prone to dumbass heroics, with room for plenty of conflict over his religious faith vs her lack and the whole masked vigilante thing (as a general rule in her own canon she thinks hiding behind a mask is stupid). Long-term shippy psls with a Cassandra Pentaghast or Loghain Mac Tir are perpetually on my wishlist, and after all these years I'm still interested in something where Morrigan and Alistair fall into a conflicted slow burn during the Inquisition era after doing the ritual together 10 years before.

For Sansa: I'd love to explore some late-canon/post-canon/AU shippiness with Tyrion, Sandor, or Brienne, ships I haven't played at all yet. And Sansa/Robb, probably in ye olde "Robb lived!" au; I'd want to dig into how what they both go through causes them to rely on each other more, how well they sort of represent each other's ideals, how incredibly conflicted and messy it would be if their feelings toward each other took that turn. I'd also love to get more crosscanon ships in general.

I'm into enemies-to-lovers/friends, unhappily arranged marriages that eventually turn into genuine passionate love, fake relationships complicated by real feelings, battle couple tropes, supernatural shit/werewolves and vampires (and Penny Dreadful-style AUs). I like everything from angst to action to fluff to smut, though smut isn't required. For Morrigan there's even a more specific smut scenario I'm interested in writing.

About Adela: I usually write her at about 17-18 these days, though she has lived an incredibly sheltered life -- mostly because she's been told since she was five that people with magic are referred to as demons, are hunted and killed as or enslaved as a result, and she discovered she had magic when she was 12. She's been largely hidden from the rest of the world by her uncle for all of her life, even moreso when her magic popped up. As a result, she tends to be mistrustful and abrasive to others, though not totally impossible to get through to considering she is in fact incredibly lonely. She's dumb about admitting it though. Look tsunderes are a favourite character type of mine when they're not needlessly violent okay

She also tends to act "neutral good" on most RPG alignment charts but tends to be naive and very, very stubborn. People who can broaden her worldview and coax her to not take everything ever so seriously tend to be "good" influences for her, provided they know (or learn) where to draw the line.

In her own story, she's currently being hunted for her blood because someone for some reason is looking for her specifically, her uncle's been missing for two years, and she's learning the hard way that no person is realistically endlessly brave or loyal. I tend to favour taking her from close to the beginning of "shit happening to her in adult life" but I'm willing to mess with "when" she's taken from her own world -- it'll alter her mindset significantly, depending on when. Again, also willing to AU it up.
