ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. For Spot - CANONMATES, PLEASE. Also 100% here for crosscanon with any other teenage characters, adult characters who can adopt him, and period-appropriate characters

For Radar/Hawkeye - Canonmates, esp BJ or Trapper for Hawkeye but any would be amazing. Crosscanon with other soldier characters (I know there's not a lot of shows that cover Korea, but a little handwaving to shift things to Vietnam or even back to WW2 wouldn't be that hard. I can also do modern AU versions).

Jaskier - give me all your Geralt. Other canonmates or medieval crosscanon also loved. Modern AU possible.

Isaac - other Greek myth characters would be interesting, though I'm aware Icarus doesn't massively intersect with a lot of other myths. An Apollo would be top notch, but any god would be interesting too. Any OCs or crosscanon characters who might be interested in interacting with a one-armed drunk mechanic with recurring nightmares about falling. Isaac's details are on his journal

Dick - Batfam. Especially Jason and Bruce. Other DC heroes or cross-canon shenanigans with MCU

FOR

Shipping - everyone - I love all sorts of shippy scenarios and dumb tropes like soulmates/arranged marriage/fake dating etc, so I'm open to most things. I'll ship almost everything if the chemistry is right, though I have a slight preference for m/m ships. Genuinely open to almost any pitch but OTPs are Spot/Race, Hawkeye/BJ or Hawkeye/Trapper, Jaskier/Geralt and Dick/Jason. I'd LOVE somebody to ship with Isaac.

Family Feels - Particularly Spot, Dick (YJ Version), Hawkeye and Jaskier, but open to anything - with my younger characters I love all sorts of parent and child scenarios, whether biological or adopted/found family, canon or crosscanon, I'm here for all of it. Hawkeye I love the relationship he has with his father so I have a hankering to do something with Hawk (aged down or normal age) and a father character (most likely crosscanon). Jaskier I currently have a serious desire to play some AU where he is adopted by Geralt or Yennefer as a child (since they're both definitely old enough to have done that).

AUs - everyone - AUs are my JAM, whether they're simple alternate timelines or full on HP AU/Coffee shop AU/etc. I'm here for ALL OF IT.

Apollo, did you say? It's been an age since I played him, let alone in a modern setting, but the idea of an old god living through the ages is really appealing to me, so I'm absolutely down for tossing him at Isaac! Looking though the details in his journal also gave me a couple ideas to start something off, if you're up for giving my guy a go?

Fair warning, Isaac is very easy going (on the surface) but once he finds out who Apollo is he might get a little grumpy, not that he's blaming the sun but... well he might be blaming the sun.

I honestly had no doubt that's how it would go and I'm totally here for it and the recovery from it. Apollo will do his best to make up for it! I'm sure he learned how to curb himself since antiquity.

Just two questions then: are you more into the idea they just bump into each other or that there's some pull between them once Isaac starts remembering?

I like the idea of there being some pull between them? Like obviously I doubt Isaac would actually remember/know who he was but I love the idea of him just being drawn to this guy and kind of maybe suspecting (hoping) that he's a reincarnation or something too and that's why, only to find out he's Apollo and just being like ... fuck.

OKAY so I haven't even finished this loser's canon and I'm nervous about his voice, but angry orphaned teenagers with slingshots are totally my jam.

I am 3000 here for found family, bratty teenagers, rivals to enemies to friends to m/m in any AU version you like. (Preference to not depower the Jedi but with no desire to make the powers the focus)

- 1899 of the MCU, in which this bratty downtown kid accidentally gets terrigen-misted and has to work it all out while dealing with the jerk over the other side of the bridge that he definitely doesn't have a crush on.
- Star Wars AU of Spot (or Dick), in Ezra's era or somewhen else depending on your preferences.
- Harry Potter AU! The world's Slytheriniest Hufflepuff and the world's Hufflpuffiest Slytherin (I don't know which one is which) hate each other very much.
- Teen Superhero AU (Young Justice an ideal setting)

I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU'RE GIVING ME. ALL OF IT. EVERYTHING.

So I'm mostly canonblind for Ezra beyond basic star wars knowledge, but obviously with AUs that shouldn't really be a problem. All of those AUs sound amazing but I actually have a serious soft spot (pun not intended) for Spot as the world's worst Hufflepuff (I could give you the ESSAY on why he's a Hufflepuff do not even get me started) and a HPAU sounds so perfect.

Also you play Angua and I love you for it (and I have a Maladict so idk if you ever want werewolf-and-vampire tensions and ladies being badass just hmu)

Additionally I think I absolutely need to know what that canon is because teenage Leonardo yes please gimme. (I actually play Leonardo from Assassin's Creed - oh in fact here is my muselist feel free to peruse)

All you really need to know is that in the Empire era before the original movies there was a plucky orphan on a backwater planet who turned out to be a Jedi and got adopted by a band of rebels and spends a lot of his time being captured and then escaping.

Anyway, for HP, Ezra would have been on his own since his parents (probably Gryffindors) 'disappeared' when he was nine until the letter found him and he rocked up to Hogwarts to discover he really doesn't get on with his housemates and hates everyone in this castle. Pretty good at Care of Magical Creatures and DADA. Exceptionally good at breaking every rule and never getting caught, kleptomaniac tendencies.

Oh and his parents were journalists! So that's a link as well, if we need an excuse other than "they meet in the corridor and start a fight."


It should be considered a crime and a sin that the BBC's Leonardo is not on iPlayer - but imagine Leo as a scrappy artist's apprentice wearing trainers and inventing a bicycle, hanging out with Lisa Gherardini dressed as a boy, a teenage Machiavelli who rules a band of street orphans, and Lorenzo de Medici, all trying to foil the scheming plots of Lorenzo's father and recover Leo's design for basically a steampunk Iron Man suit. That, but even less historically accurate than you're imagining.

So basically I have a variety of backstory headcanons for Spot that 90% can be covered by Everything Is Awful. My usual go-to for HP is that Spot is muggleborn and his dad is The Worst, buuut what if he wasn't. What if Spot's terrible father was also a wizard, a dark wizard, and Ezra's parents did some investigative journalisming that landed him in Azkaban, and that was the last thing they did before they went missing - Spot comes to school fresh with a reputation and everybody knows about his dad THANKS VERY MUCH ASSHOLE, versus Ezra thinking that them going missing is CLEARLY linked to Spot's dad - cue intense hatred from day one.

Alternatively if you wanted Ezra's parents to be muggles too, it could easily be along the same lines, Spot's dad is like a gangster of some kind, Ezra's parents get him put away and then they go missing (some other muggleborn at school recognises Spot's name and everybody hears about it, but he still blames Ezra).

Spot would be the world's angriest Hufflepuff, he's on the quidditch team (possibly captain), very good at transfiguration, pretty good at charms (basically classes with wandwork), pretty dreadful at herbology and potions.

Regarding Leonardo: holy shit that sounds amazing I need to watch it NOW.

I'm working out an HPAU on the fly here and wasn't sure how to translate the dystopic 'hiding from the Empire' setting in, but Ezra having to worry about Organised crime outside of Hogwarts is interesting. And a muggleborn Slytherin so no wonder he's angry at everyone. But ESPECIALLY Spot because he's an asshole.

And he would be on the Quidditch team but - muggleborn Slytherin.

And Spot hates him because everybody knows about his dad because of Ezra's parents/knows that he ended up in like.. wizard foster care or something, and he hates Spot because it's maybe-probably-definitely his dad's fault that his parents went missing, and he's an asshole.

and then they can bond because technically Spot is hiding out from the mob as well and actually he hated his dad anyway but he's just an angry angry boy

And quidditch rivals. Yes, yes I love this so much.

Spot exists on the AU meme here but we can also play in a musebox or somewhat, whatever you prefer!
